Well I hope there is no "firing squad" at Disney but I do think that if employees are giving out false information to customers they should at the very least be remprimanded and educated. Every peice of literature clearly states the admission requirements for those 3-9 and those 10+. The literature is in print for all to see - for an employee to state otherwise is just wong plain and simple. It is clear that Disney can and has denied entry to people without valid admission.
Many people get away with it - others don't, its not my business what others do.
IMHO if Disney employees are giving out false information that is a problem.

Holy cow, ppl. I just told you what I heard from a Disney GRANDMOTHER who took the call and shared it.
So if you are spending 6K, what is the difference if you throw in another $100? Just because he is the breadwinner doesn't mean he should be able to make all the decisions himself...how does that justify stealing that you are enabling? Seriously, rationalize all you want if it makes you feel better.
