I am still reeling from the news. As some of you may know, on our cruise in June, dh and I rebooked back-to-back cruises for December 2005 with the intent to move them to the summer of 2006. Since the dates opened last week I have been calling DCL daily to check -- with no luck. Yesterday I spoke to the nicest CM but all she could tell me was all the suites have been booked through November. I asked her Where does that leave me? Do you think the fact that I wanted a Cat. 2 for two weeks in a row might be the problem? She said that it was mostly likely why our bookings hadnt been moved but there was always the chance that someone would cancel. I thought to myself the chances of a Cat. 2 being cancelled two weeks in a row was pretty slim. I broke the news to my family saying we were now on the wait list and perhaps we just might have to do something else. I dont know what came over me today but I went to DCL website and checked our reservation. The screen popped up and then it hit me. Were booked in a Cat 2. (8016) for August 12 
Of course, then I checked the other reservation Were booked Cat. 2 for August 19 (which is one of the cruises that goes to Costa Maya and Castaway Cay twice) Still, not believing what I was seeing, I called DCL and spoke to a CM who confirmed that yes, we are booked for back-to-back cruises in a Cat. 2!!! I am so excited I can hardly stand it.
Thank you, Cotomom for your good wishes. The pixie dust worked. I told the kids and I think theyre in shock along with me. I cant wait for dh to get home to give him the good news.
