We were out talking with neighbors last night when we noticed what appeared to be a porch light on across the way....next the lights popped on in the window of the house we were standing in front of.....then the street lights slowly began to light up.
You should have heard the cheer which went up.
Felt a little guilty though, knowing how others were still doing without.
On a positive note, the weather in Pensacola has been absolutely fantastic since the hurricane. It's still hot during the day if you're in the sun, but there has been a north wind blowing the whole time, and the humidity has been real low. The night time temps have been in the mid 60's which is real good sleeping weather.
An observation....without power, everyone is outside, walking chatting, etc. The lights come on, everone runs inside and shuts the windows, like watching a turtle draw up into his shell.
Things are getting better.

Glad things are looking up.
