I called this morning and got the balcony seats or Fantasmic, first show on my birthday Jul 26th!!!!! We got seats 1 - 5!!! Now we are set with our ressies we plan on making for the trip!!! :teeth: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: pirate:

You are making me jealous! We have done this twice and now whenever we walk by the Gallery we all whine about how great that is! You are also really lucky to get front row it makes a difference (but back row is still worth it). Have fun!

Good for you!! I hope you have a wonderful time. I do not think my dh will think it is worth the money so I don't think we will be doing that on our trip in August. I hear it is wonderful, though. Have fun and Happy Birthday!!:D

We will be at Fantasmic on July 26th also! We have seats 1, 2, 3 for the second showing!

I can hardly wait. This is my DD's (she's 14) first time to Disney and my hubby's 2nd. The lat time I was at Disney was 7yrs ago and it wasn't much fun because I kept wishing my DD was with me. It has changed so much since then. I would be lost without this board.

They don't know about the special seating for Fantasmic and I am having a hard time keeping it a secret. I want it to be a surprise.

Do they take 90 day in advance ressies or what for this package?

What number do you call, please.

What is the best seat number? What puts you front and center?

Thanks for the help.

They take the ressies at 30 days out. I called right at 8AM Pacific, which 11AM here in VA. I think there are only 21 seats on the balcony and for when we are there 2 showings. It is a bit steep for the tickets and since I may never get a chance to go back, we are doing it. The number I call was 714-781-4400.

I'll think about it. We are going in October and I'm not sure if it's worth it because I think the crowds will be a lot less. I still think I would like the experience.

We were there in May and I was able to go to the Disney Gallery; which is where the seating takes place for Fantasmic. I was allowed on the balcony and the view is good there. One fault is that it may be too far away for good pictures or video especially considering it's dark for the show.

I would love to hear if anyone has taken good pics or video from there.

In October there may be fewer vacationers, but the locals will still be there and assuming they're doing Fantasmic in October, the local Fantasmic fans will usually be there in force each and every weekend, often starting to get prime spots 3-4 hours early. If you wait until even 2 hours before the show to find a spot (assuming you want a sitting spot--you should be able to find a good standing spot at this time) and you plan to videotape, figure having the backs of a few heads in your footage. At 2 hours before the show, you'll be anywhere from 3-5 rows back depending on how center you are trying to be.

<font color=navy>I have a couple of cousins coming out from Spain in August, and I'm planning on doing this as a treat for them (not for us, of course ....... riiiiiighhht). The price has kept us from doing this until now, but now I have a good reason to spend the $. :)

Glad you got the tix - good for you!!! :sunny:

I got a chance to sit down below in the premium seating, but I really want to try the balcony seating.

Dave, I'm going to be asking you how the fireworks are afterwards, so I can gauge whether it's better to see them from Main Street, or if the new show is okay from the balcony.

Since this is the first time for me at DL, where are the good places to watch the fireworks and parades at? I plan on informing everyone on how the trip goes. We are under 4 weeks to go!!:bounce: :teeth: :wave2: pirate:

:hyper:
Way to go Dave!! You did good!!
I can't wait! (Yep...I am one of those 5 seats :teeth: ).

How much is this Fantasmic package? What's included, how many seats are available, I gather you get specific seats?

<font color=navy>My favorite place to watch the parade and fireworks is on Main Street. :)

Fantasmic Dessert Buffet-Balcony seating (21 seats) = $47 per person

Fantasmic Dessert Buffet-Premium seating (50 seats near the Rivers of America, in front of Haunted Mansion) = $47/adults and $37/children ages 3-9

Our balcony tickets came out to $49.75 each. I assume this includes tax and May JO's prices is before tax. This board has been a great help to us. We are so looking forward to this, but the price is real steep.

Dave, you ROCK!!!! I cannot wait for that night!!!

Yep, I'm another one of the 5 ;)

Hi! I'm a newbie on this thread. We are doing the Eastern Repositioning Cruise in Aug. 2005 and we are flying out to CA to enjoy DL before the cruise. This will be DH's first trip to DL and I have only been there once (and that was in 1974!!).

Your thread has peeked my intrest in this Fantasmic Dessert Buffet. I am very interested in surprizing my DH. I need a few details though. I'm am guessing the Fantasmic show at DL has very different seating than the ampitheather at WDW, correct? And it sounds as though the seating is premium at DL. I am willing to dish out the $100 for the package if it means a good view of the show. Can you please tell me what exactly is included in the package?

I realize I can't make the PS until 30 days out. Is this going to be like getting PS for Cindy's Breakfast in the castle at WDW? That is total craziness!! But I'm am up for the challenge!!

Any info you could provide will be greatly appreciated!!

I'll be lurking and throwing out many questions over here. (Hope that's okay!!) Our trip is still way over a year out, but I am one of those obsessive planners!::yes::

Yes, unless you do the buffet, seating for the DL Fantasmic is on the ground and believe me when I say people start grabbing spots around 5 for the 9 o'clock show to be in the front. I got there at 5:15 on Tuesday and got a perfect front row center. You can still see well further back, but because I'm short, I don't like craning my neck to see over taller peope in front of me. But it's a better production that the MGM version. There's a sequence in the DL version that is EVERYBODY'S favorite (in other words, everyone I talk to that has seen the DL Fantasmic multiple times has this as their favorite sequence) that isn't in the MGM version.
