We got November 2007!

I am so excited. We got a preferred site for November 11-17, 2007.

It's getting bad, this will be our 3rd time this year to FW. If I had known I would have purchased AP! The kids didn't even want to go if we couldn't stay at the Fort.

Hopefully, it will be like Texas weather and not HOT Florida weather like in August.

I have been trying to get for the Thanksgiving weekend but man that sure is hard. I having the same problem as you, we are going to Disney October 26 and the kids want to stay at the Fort but there is nothing. This really sucks how much we enjoy the Fort and can't go.

Hang in there. I have been checking since August. I check for each day or sometimes by the week. I also took someone's advice here doing Wednesday to Wednesday. This time I did Sunday with check out on Thursday and then did Friday with check out on Saturday separately. Good Luck!

Congratulations on your trip! We are still trying to piece Thanksgiving together, too! We have Thanksgiving weekend, and 2 days earlier in the week, but we can't get 11/20-23. We are bringing our new trailer, our first, so whatever we get, we'll be thrilled!

You will have such fun. The first time we stayed at FW we were in a cabin. We just looked all the campers and couldn't wait until we saved enough. The next year we had camper #1 and it was the start of the most wonderful trips ever. There is something about being in your "own home" at whatever location.

Keep trying to get your dates. It took us a while but it happened.

Will you be online during your trip? It might be fun to at least say hi in person. In August we met another dis family and they were from the suburb next to us outside of Dallas. Their site was across from us and we would see each other and wave. It was fun.

I am SO glad you posted!! I couldn't remember your online name. I can't believe we are going back so soon too. We were trying for January and since DH knew I couldn't get anything and then found a preferred loop in November he jumped on it. Guess it's good we homeschool and he is self-employed. Although....now we are schooling the week of Thanksgiving

We LOVED the cabins before we got a camper. The kids thought the bunkbeds were really cool. I hope you get a new one too!

If you're hoping, don't give up -keep trying. Lots of people end up having their plans changed like we did when we had to cancel the Nov17-Dec 4 part of ours, at least we still have Nov 4-17 at the Fort. And it is a great addiction to have isn't it? "Hello, my name is Lori and I'm a Fort Wilderness Addict"

We just finished piecing together 10 days at Thanksgiving starting on 11/18! I figured I'd try again since I had seen so many of you were having such good luck! We will probably have to cut some days the week after Thanksgiving off, because DH and I are teachers, and can't take that much time off, so I hope that will help a fellow Diser looking for the week after!
