We Got No Troubles; Life Is The Bubbles! 04/18 - Complete!

Wow! Sorry I got so far behind here, we had a little excitement this week.

Johnny's working at the airport and the other day they found a tiny kitten in the garbage can! They think he got in trying to get food. So they tried to catch him but he was really quick and good at hiding in tiny spaces! Anyway Thursday they caught him but they were just going to shoo him into the woods. No one else could/would take him and Johnny and I couldn't see him left out in the cold, so of course he came home with us.

Presenting, Oscar!

Johnny got him to the vet on Thursday and they were extremely happy at how healthy he is! Definitely a boy, he had his first vaccinations, de-wormer and flea meds (not that he had signs of either, just a precaution!) The vet had a hard time hearing his heart beat for the purring.

He's a snuggle bunny but loves to play, so far hates the dogs (but slowly warming up to them) and likes Harry, the other cat. He's eating and drinking very well too. And he's even learning to pose for the camera!

So that's my exciting news, now onto the replies! And then hopefully a new update!

---------------------------------------------------------------

He's adorable! My puppy's name is Oscar!

Wow the lion up and moving around and roaring!!!! I have never seen/heard that on the safari before. You did get lucky.
Yup, I was counting myself pretty lucky! Johnny said "Until now I thought it was stuffed!" :rotfl2:

You had awesome animal mojo to say the least! :cool1:

Your safari pics turned out a-maz-ing! I, too, didn't miss the little red bit or any of the old storyline. I like the new, more informative safari!

YAY for updates!:yay:
Definitely had the awesome animal mojo. It was a good safari!

Wow !!! Your safari photos are AMAZING !!! How awesome that you got to see the lion roar and a non blurry Cheetah photo - score !!!

Enjoying your TR !!
Thanks! Seeing that lion was pretty freaking cool.

Awesome pics!
Thanks! :goodvibes

Wow Wow Wow - You got the lion up and moving and roaring?????? I would call that MAJOR pixie dust. Love all your pictures. They are so crystal clear. Love the early morning resort shots. Lovely.
Up, moving, roaring, it was amazing for sure. I'm telling you, pixie dust was on our side!
Also, thanks :goodvibes

And I love your Oscar. I think he has to be the cutest kitten on earth! Seriously adorable.
Aww thanks, he's awfully cute! Tonight he was really playful and was playing with this blue feather toy we bought him, so adorable. I was just melting. And when he got really tired, he climbed me, nestled into my shoulder, leaned on my ear and turned on the motor. He's going to be a little lover! :lovestruc

Ugh to the people hogging the picture site. Who does that? Really?:sad2:
I know, right? :sad2:

He's adorable! My puppy's name is Oscar!
Awww, cute! I've always liked the name Oscar, for my little trash can kitty it's particularly suitable! :rotfl:

Congratulations on the new addition to your family! Oscar is gorgeous. So glad he is such a friendly, affectionate kitten. Love the association with his name.

STUNNING PANGANI AND SAFARI PICTURES!

The cheetahs are usually tough to spot out back in the trees but you got an amazing picture.

And the lion? Shut up! Walking around and roaring! How cool is that!?! What a beautiful animal!

Love the baby elephants, too!

Okay, the safari isn't a must do for us, in fact we usually skip it but seeing those AMAZINGLY AWESOME photos (I feel like using the word pictures just doesn't do them justice) makes me want to take a ride when we're there NEXT WEEK!

Oh, and apparently I was wrong with my guess as to what you were going to do next.

Also, maybe you could just come on our trips with us and just take all of the pictures. Seriously, you guys are talented! Just sayin' it's a pretty good idea...

P.S. Love, love, love the wittle kitty! We have two brown tabbys and we find ways to include them in nearly every conversation we have. :rotfl: We love them! We keep joking that we're going to get another one but I'm allergic (thankfully a seasonal allergy pill does the trick) and I don't like the cat hair.

Thank you! He's currently trying to type for me, I think he's trying to say thank you as well. :lmao:

I could not believe our luck with the animals, we were being followed by pixiie dust for sure!

Oh you definitely should do the safari next week! When we went in Nov. 2010 we had a great safari too, the animals were so much more active in the cooler weather!

Oh, and apparently I was wrong with my guess as to what you were going to do next.

Also, maybe you could just come on our trips with us and just take all of the pictures. Seriously, you guys are talented! Just sayin' it's a pretty good idea...
I'm game, if it means more trips for me!! Hahaha but thank you. :goodvibes

We keep joking that we're going to get another one but I'm allergic (thankfully a seasonal allergy pill does the trick) and I don't like the cat hair. Ugh, allergies suck! Johnny is allergic to animals and hay and trees. We live in the country with horses and dogs and cats. :rotfl2: Luckily he only gets bad in the spring and an allergy pill helps him as well.

:)

Oh Wow... those were some amazing safari pictures... the giraffes-just gorgeous...and the lion roaring... that must have been amazing... I'll bet that added just that special Disney touch to the whole experience...;)

Poor wildebeests ... never going to live down that Mufasa episode...:rolleyes1

Oscar is just... too cute for his own good... :goodvibes

OMG....you have done it again girl....amazing pictures! How exciting that you got to hear the lion roar, I cannot even begin to imagine what that was like:thumbsup2

The lobby is really stunning. Very Disney, very colourful, very loud. Just perfect. I'm a value resort lover, and this was just wonderful.

The floor was bright and colourful, the lighting on the walls behind the check in desks was amazing, a fantastic gradient of rainbow colours.

On the opposite wall, sketches of the characters are larger than life. This is the beginning -- of a movie and of your vacation. The concept art is amazing and so intriguing, just seeing how all the characters started out! Some have come a long way!

We walked up to the Online Check In line...

8045074378_caf946546a_c.jpg

... and were quickly escorted to a desk with a lovely CM who was earning her ears. She had us checked in and ready to go in no time! I wanted to tell her she did a great job, she was so nervous! Her hands were actually shaking! We thanked her many times and were on our way to the Little Mermaid rooms.

Cont. in next post!
I LOVE ALL THE PICTURES IVE SEEN.
I'd consider giving up AKL. It's so pretty....

Hi again everyone! How's things?

It's a lovely blistery fall day here today. Leaves are turning bright colours and the wind today knocked most of them down. I've got the horses tucked inside and most of the barn doors closed for the first time since early spring! The cat is in the house and the dogs are content asleep on their beds. I love fall. :lovestruc

We left off last walking down a rainy Main St. Before we start, this whole evening I was armed with my little point and shoot camera and it was raining. That means? Blurry photos! YAY! :lmao: :rolleyes2 :crazy2:

Sunday, September 16
"Just a Little Bit of Pixie Dust"

We made a plan this Magic Kingdom day. We planned to completely finish Tomorrowland. 1 - because we knew our time in MK might be limited and we wanted to make the most of this evening and 2 - because most Tomorrowland attractions are indoors, away from the rain!

We headed in that direction. Can you guess what our first stop was?

...

8076814734_1faaefc7b4_c.jpg

My man has a small bladder. Also he loves to drink liquids. It's not a great combination.

Whew! After the bio break, we headed to an old favourite:

8076810810_d1440523d3_c.jpg

Oh dear. That's blurry. Try again?

8076813766_897fe9899c_c.jpg

Oh. Never mind. Apparently it wasn't my night for photography!

It was a 25 minute wait but we didn't mind. It was so early in our trip that our good moods could not be diminished!

We were behind a mother and her very tiny daughter in the line. The little girl was so adorable, she kept us entertained. At one point she picked something up off the floor and gave it to her mom. I didn't think much of it, but the mother turned to us and said;

"Hey, would you guys like these? We won't use them!"

I looked and saw four fastpasses for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

"They're almost up," she said "but you might get there in time!"

I looked closer, indeed we had only 20 minutes until the return time closed and we were only 3/4 of the way through the Buzz line. We thanked her very much and said we would try to make it!

We hopped on Buzz feeling a little buzz of excitement ourselves. Surprise fastpasses! Sweet! Some Disney pixie dust already! pixiedust:

We had a very fun ride with Johnny kicking my bottom, as usual.

My score:
8076820617_a92d230801_c.jpg

Johnny's score:
8076811822_fef3f331a0_c.jpg

We hopped off Buzz and looked at each other, making a split second decision. We had 10 minutes and an entire park to cross. We were going to give it a try! Fastpasses in hand, we got ready to make a break for it.

8076797210_f5d3c9247f_c.jpg

We walked out the door and stopped dead. Now there was something we didn't think about that could significantly slow us down --

The POURING RAIN!

:scared1:

Cont. in next post!

I have yet to do that ride...hmm.

Without stopping to take a single picture, raindrops the size of golf balls falling on our heads, weaving around thousands of tourists stopping in their tracks to don their ponchos, and slipping around in soaking wet sandals, we rushed as fast as we could to Frontierland. We made it with two minutes to spare and jumped in the fastpass line before anyone could double check their watches!!

We had almost no wait at all and before we knew it we were in view of the trains!

8076817461_eb9a112b4b_c.jpg

Here comes our train! Wish it were a little more dry... :rolleyes2

8076816305_3b187d9501_c.jpg

So this is where I decided that since I had only my little crappy camera, I would just take random shots while on the coaster and see what it got me. I didn't even delete the bad ones. I laughed my head off during the entire ride and these bad but silly pictures make me very happy remembering this.

Ready?

WOOOHOO!

I can honestly say that despite the rain, it was the most fun we've ever had on BTMRR. We laughed ourselves silly!

So with the rain still coming down and our plan to attack Tomorrowland gone out the window, what would we do next??

Stay tuned to find out!
Hm. Does this go upside down or anything? I usually ignore it, I'm not "supposed" to go on coasters. I sometimes do anyway though..

(I swear. I'll quit quoting posts. I opened all your chapter links in different windows. :( )

8098974014_ba9a46aa21_c.jpg

Let the memories begin? Yes please!

Ok so first things first -- we need a locker!
8098956083_7ba072be59_c.jpg

Ahh. Perfect!

8098951953_02608b2d78_c.jpg

Found them!

We stored our bags but kept the cameras. We had a date with some lions!

But first, as usual in AK, we got distracted on our way.

8098957912_021a0218d6_c.jpg

OMG an ANIMAL!

8098946265_6985794c1c_c.jpg

Another one!

CUTE animals!

The tree of life! :lovestruc

8098936154_b4463c00f3_c.jpg

Might as well duck in here!

We found a photopass photographer and took advantage. These are with my camera, didn't get our CD yet. (*hint hint* eeyore04! Get on that!)

8098926106_8f6f4e6c0e_c.jpg

We moved a little farther into the trails around the tree and snapped some shots of the tree and each other.

8098386405_982c838180_c.jpg

There weren't many people around, but we had to wait about 15 minutes for this one couple to give up their post at the fence to take that last shot. They were just taking thousands of pictures of each other and arms length together and would not move when they weren't taking pictures. There was a line up forming behind us so when they moved just a little to the side, I squeezed in and got my shot and then got out of the way. The people behind me moved in when I was done and the couple gave us dirty looks. Ugh. Even a trip full of pixie dust can't guarantee you don't run into THOSE types, you know?

Whatever. Off to Africa!

8098909186_1ff352a0e4_c.jpg

Pit stop to look at fish!
8098893701_0a5a5a621c_c.jpg

Did you know?
The little tiny guppy looking fish in with these big guys are mosquito fish and are just one of the many natural pesticides Disney uses in Animal Kingdom where they can not use chemicals!

Back on track!

Safari fastpass!
8098453032_25774b2fbe_c.jpg

And this is where I'll leave you for now. What would we do next, fastpasses in hand?? Stay tuned to find out!

Making a note to take advantage of photopass this trip. Especially in AK, it's so pretty!

Haven't done Jungle Cruise yet - I ned to check it out. Hear its silly, but fun. :)

And yeah. Some people in WDW miss the happy, pixie dust concept.

AHHH.

OK. A CM in AK, when we asked... told us the animals are mainly free roaming. (we were doing the... hmm. Started with an R, I think.. a jungle trek? Walk through of this city in ruins, etc.)

Is that true? There's literally nothing keeping the big animals from jumping the little rope, and coming after you?
Can't be. Surely there's more to it than that....

Oh Wow... those were some amazing safari pictures... the giraffes-just gorgeous...and the lion roaring... that must have been amazing... I'll bet that added just that special Disney touch to the whole experience...;)

Thanks! Seeing the lion up at all was pretty amazing, but to see him roaring was definitely some serious Disney magic!

OMG....you have done it again girl....amazing pictures! How exciting that you got to hear the lion roar, I cannot even begin to imagine what that was like:thumbsup2
Thanks!
Seeing the lion roar was probably the highlight of the trip. Wow, it was really spectacular!

uhm... how did I miss this?!

I'm in.

It's a really gorgeous resort!

I have yet to do that ride...hmm.

Hm. Does this go upside down or anything? I usually ignore it, I'm not "supposed" to go on coasters. I sometimes do anyway though..
Nope, no upside downs, it's a really mild coaster! Definitely the most mild one at Disney, IMO!

Definitely do Jungle Cruise, of course it's silly but yes, also fun:goodvibes
There are no fences but as I understand it there are natural barriers to keep each animal in their own area. (Moats, hills, etc.) the animals on the savannah area I think are free to roam the savannah and interact with each other.

And now a word from my new Oscar kitty who loves to walk all over keyboards and who has been patiently waiting for his turn.

Great pictures of the animals at AK! I especially love your giraffe pictures, so pretty! :yay:

Man I hate time changes. Even though this one is the extra hour one, I just can't get used to it being pitch dark outside at 5:30!

We left off having just had the safari of our lives. So with rumbling tummies where did we turn?

Monday, September 17th

8098704328_122e49631d_c.jpg

8098691131_85e8af4c0a_c.jpg

Well, having had enough adventure for one day, we just had none to spare for food so we went with a simple choice:

8098695018_242219ec6b_c.jpg

Yup, real adventurous. But it was a guaranteed air conditioned seat and we weren't in the mood to try something new. :rotfl:

8098681835_3262a4f5a8_c.jpg

Johnny had the pizza (of course!) and I had some type of cold pasta salad with chicken. It was really tasty too. I took pictures (like a good Dis'er :littleangel: ) but somehow I deleted them. (like a bad Dis'er :headache:)

I do so love the murals in here:

8098682844_7e22e670e7_c.jpg

The light fixtures were pretty cool too.

8098666191_6e0d075a44_c.jpg

So while we sat and ate we had a good look at the map and our times guide. Once again the Timing Pixie Dust fairy was watching over us -- we were just 30 minutes from the next FOTLK show! We finished our lunch and headed over to wait for the show in the direct path of the huge fans.

Once we got in we ran for the top seats. No one sitting behind us and putting their feet up our butts! :thumbsup2

Unfortunately our good luck fairy couldn't follow us in the theatre. It seemed that every mother with a crying baby thought that our corner was the crying baby corner. Not once throughout the entire performance did we get to watch without hearing one child or another crying. :sad2:

But since I wasn't enjoying the show to the fullest anyway, I never put the camera down once. Here are a few favourites:

The end!

I love that show!

And so again we found ourselves making plans. You see, we had yet to ride EE or Kali, but we both had our SLR cameras which we didn't want to take on either ride. So we decided to do everything else we wanted to do, then run back to the lockers, ride the rides, back to get our cameras (and turn in our locker keys and get our deposit) and then to dinner.

Commence plan!

8146477294_6605b3a059_c.jpg

To Dinoland!

8146472804_359b73603b_c.jpg

Hmmm, think we're going the right way?

I'm still not sure...

Yeah... maybe...

Loved this quote:
8146418797_c7aae1370e_c.jpg

We went straight into Dinosaur. There was almost no wait at all so I didn't have time to get any pictures in the queue!

8146427770_ae78014dcd_c.jpg

All done!

8146390513_035eb97e54_c.jpg

We had a great ride as usual! We both put our cameras in the pouch in front of us and held them with our feet. It was a little nerve-racking for sure, but both cameras and lenses made it out ok.

8146382633_68cdd3e361_c.jpg

Soon, Yeti.

8146375991_2bd13411d1_c.jpg

As you can see, we wandered over to Asia. Our plan was to pick up some fastpasses for Everest!

The fastpasses we got would be good in about 45 minutes. So what did we do next?

Stay tuned to find out!

Awe you guys are way too cute!!!! I'm loving your report, and sorry i've been away a while UGH real life!!! I'm all caught up now ,and I gotta tell ya ur room pics did it for me so I've now booked AOA for May in an ariel room, with my youngest princess, can't wait :)

We have eaten at Pizzafari twice and it's actually a pretty decent lunch spot! Nothing fancy or adventurous, like you said, but there is so much seating, and sometimes it's nice to just be able to plop your tray down and eat without wandering around scouting out a table first!

Question/favor to ask of you: Could you share what you put your camera settings on during FOTLK? I have tried, to no avail, to capture somewhat decent pictures of that show, and here you are showing off your no blur jumping monkeys! lol Thank you!
