We got Dreamed

We were one of those families that Albort mentioned that were very happy about something very cheap! We were waiting for the Cars to come out in DCA and a lady came up to us and started talking to my girls. After a few minutes she gave them each a pin that said Disneyland Honorary Citizen. Pretty dumb, but we thought it was fun!

The Dream Come True promotion doesnt end until next year of April. heh, other departments also do dreams and to my suprised, you can buy people with really cheap stuff and they are insanely happy about it.

I think the official name is "Year of a Million Dreams" (YOAMD). And there is more than "cheap stuff", with a few elaborate prizes given to people selected at random.

my DS got one of those pins! we were getting out of it's a small world ride, and it was parade time, so the crowd was insane! we thought it would be fun to watch the parade, as it came out...and were trying to find a spot to stand around. anyways, a lady that sweeps the floor came by, and i moved out of the way, and our DS moved out of the way too, and she started talking to him...asking him about his hat (he had a chef's hat from the nestle cooking thing we went to earlier), if he's enjoying the park, which ride did he go on, etc. he is only 4! and before she left, she gave him a pin! he was so thrilled!! i was so happy for him.

that same day earlier, he also go a mickey firefighter sticker from a "firefighter" at toontown.

i think it's the little things that counts! and to see how it all brightens a child...it's all worth it, crowd & all!!

Got Dream fast passes just outside pirates! Seem most dreams are given early AM! What a bday present!

We got dream ears last weekend. It was about 8:30am. We were on Dumbo and we look down and see the Dream Squad at the exit. My son was yelling at me to act like I was sick or something to try to get the ride to stop. LOL. We saw a few people notice the Dream Squad and com get ears, but mostly people were just walking on by. My son was jumping off the ride before it completely stopped. This was our 3rd trip since the promotion started and the only time we've ever seen any giving out the dreams.

No dreams for us but while waiting in line to order breakfast at the Riverbelle Terrace, the family behind us was offered a table and free breakfast served to them. Also saw another family next to us get stopped by a dream cast member in front of Indiana Jones store, but I don't know what they were offered.

Both of these were on Saturday morning, didn't see any other dreams offered all day Friday.

if given the ears what does that intitle you to?

nothing....you just get free ears...the design is a light blue with clouds and silver ears...you cannot buy these in a store...there are some close, but they are dark blue, no clouds but still have silver ears

It is suppose to run all year. You just get lucky with where you are. It sounds like most of them are given the first 2 hours of the morning and as you exit one of the rides. The ones we heard of were: exiting Buzz, Pinocchio, Alice, and BTMRR. From Snoodledoos trip report it sounds like the bigger prizes are predicted by a computer and you have to be located at that spot at that time.

For my son and I it was as we were getting off IASW at approximately 8:30 in the morning. This was our fifth ride that morning and we were already holding fastpasses for Space Mountain. We got dream fastpasses on the exit of IASW. It was our 3rd trip since the promo. . .too fun.
