Will be at Disney May 14-21. Large family with 2 infants. We want to have groceries delivered. Need advice on which vendor to use- We Go Shop or Garden Grocer. Thanks in advance.

We used GG in the past and felt that the prices were high and we had some order issues. I guess you should compare prices with fees and tips and see which is least expensive.

Now we rent a car for the day and shop where we want, when we want with no mistakes or inflated prices. On a large order the price is about the same.

I put in my order with wegoshop Sunday night. Yesterday they called just to go over the details. I was able to add a few items that I forgot during the call. I love the personal attention. In 10 trips, I have never had a problem.

Both are highly reputable. I'd pick based on the ordering model you like. If you want tons of control over the process, but don't need a list of options to remind you what you want, use WGS. If you are happier picking from a pre-selected list, and can live with presented choices, use GG.

I have used GG in the past, and always been pleased.

I usually rent a car. Whether or not I do the initial shop myself or go with a service depends on plans and timing of arrival day.

I plan to try Dizzy dolphin for our next trip, there DVC members that have set up their own company and you send them a list of what you want.

We are doing the same for Thanksgiving. I emailed with a question about Publix premade holiday meals and received an answer back within an hour. I am looking forward to a different choice.

Good to know. I had the exact same experience with GG on Sunday. I placed my order with GG online this weekend, and they called me within 10 minutes to confirm and go over details. Sounds like you can't go wrong with either option.

We have use both....have stuck with WGS the last 6 or 7 times. I like ordering exactly what I want and not picking from a list.

I have used both. I used wegoshop for 7 years with success, because I prefer their ordering method. On my last encounter I experienced such horrible customer service from owner Amy's husband that I cancelled my order. I will NEVER use them again, nor can I, in good conscience, recommend them.
I have used Garden Grocer the last 2 years and I am very pleased. The first time I used them I double ordered a few items on line, in error. I called and they were wonderful. They fixed my error immediately and I was very pleased. I have received text messages after each delivery asking if everything was okay. Really nice customer service.
I actually think the 2 services end up being close in price after delivery fees, item markups etc are considered.
In the past, I calculated that I saved the cost of delivery on just the cost of not buying bottled water in the parks.
I highly recommend Garden Grocer and I strongly recommend against wegoshop.

We always use Garden Grocer as they will deliver in the window I select and leave the order with Bell Services so we don't have to be there to receive it. They will also deliver beer or wine and leave it without any issues. I like that I can pre-pay online including a tip and be done with it.

We have been using Garden Grocer for years and never had any problems. We just used them again last week and had great service again.

The problem I have with WGS is that if they don't have the exact thing you want, they will sub. And if you are not specific enough about what you want, they pick a size for you. I like GGs set up much better--here is a picture of exactly what the item is. Click if I want it. I don't have to sit and write down item brand size.

Plus none of the supermarkets WGS use are local for me so it's hard for me to pick a store and have an idea of what will be in stock.

You can say no substitutions with WGS or say which are okay.
We have dietary restrictions, so GG doesn't have all the things we want or can have to eat.
I have had good experiences with both

We have used GG four times and each time have been extremely pleased. Two times I received a customer service call a few minutes after I placed my order because I had inserted a question about needing the "adult" drinks in plastic bottles rather than glass (for at the pool). They were very friendly and reviewed all non-glass options with me specifically. I also like the text message notifications of delivery and delivery confirmation, as well as choosing my delivery timeslot.

Admittedly, we haven't used WGS ever, so I can't compare that.

We have, however, done the drive-to-Winn-Dixie-and-shop-ourselves method.....and then.....we had two kids. And now we will never look back to that! (Well, maybe when they are older!)

Glad to hear all the positives. we are using GG for the first time at the end of May. We are flying from Philly and have a 1 yr old so its much easier to just have the stuff we need delivered then have to bring it with us or ship it ahead of time. We shipped his stuff to POR when we went in September and when we got the package delivered to our room half the stuff we shipped was missing from it. Heard on another thread of a few people saying their order was incorrect from GG and that got me nervous as we need all the stuff be ordered for him when we get there

Yes, same situation with same individual, didn't cancel but wished I had. I had the whole family staying at a GV at BWV, so it was a large order but the bill was shockingly over what I estimated. Between questionable behavior and in my opinion excessive up-sizing I would not use that option again. I will use GG for smaller gatherings and rent a car for a day when the whole family gets together.

Can beer, wine and alcohol be ordered though GG?
