We booked flights from Glasgow to Orlando this summer, now we live in London but DS was competing (swimming) at Sheffield up until the day before we planned to fly so thought we might as well travel to glasgow and fly, parking is free as DH works for BAA and we were half way there, but they have changed the dates of Nationals (were DS is swimming) so it now ends on the 1st August, so we have decided to get the train to and from sheffield and now to and from Glasgow - we bought a family rail card for £20 and have been quoted and round trip of £58 for 2 adults and 2 kids on the train - this has appealed to me as DH doesn't drive and I can relax, so we are now not driving but have decided to travel up the day before and stay at the Holiday inn at the airport before out flight. We have also just booked 1 adult and 2 children from london to sheffield ont he train for £7.30 (and thats not each!!)
