We finally have our membership cards

Our membership cards arrived today. Now I feel like a proper member. It took almost to the day three months for us to get them. Now I just need my planner and then I am completely happy.

We received our membership cards in the mail today too. We started the purchasing process right after Christmas and we don't close until the first week in March. I thought it was taking a long time to receive them, but you said it took 3 months for you to receive yours. I wonder if we received them within 2 months since we have a trip planned for next week? It says on our cards that we joined in February.

Congrats you two! We became members on 1/19/08...sounds like it is going to be a long time before they arrive.

I just had a look on our cards and it says member since 12/07, which is kind of strange as we became members in November and still got the 2006 points on grounds that we have a December UY and it was not December at the point of signing and paying. I don't suppose it matters. I am a member and it is only about 200 days until I get to use my membership for the first time.

I own at BCV and closed 12/07. My card says I have been a member since 3/2003. oh well

For some reason, DVC allows members to book a trip before the closing. I don't quite understand it myself, but we read somewhere in all the paperwork that we can book trips since they issued our membership numbers in January. Our UY is October, so we technically received our points from October 2007 to use for this year. We have 3 trips booked this year, all made before closing.

I purchased directly from Disney so i was int eh system right away. I purchased one day and booked three trips the next.

I got my blue member card yesterday, too! I can't believe how excited I was about that little blue card! By the way, it came quickly. I signed up in late January and am surprised to have the card already.

Oh ok, that explains it. I see from your signature that you have trips planned to 3 different resorts including one to your home resort. Did you have much trouble making reservations at the 7 month window to the 2 non home resorts?

Still have received my cards but who cares I have the tem cards and I received the Steve Harvey bonus points which gave me OCt 07 points these are not developer points and I already have three trips planned with the free 160 points. Actually I dont think of them as free I think of them as a way to lower the total cost
