This trip was filled with Disney magic and I wanted to share it with all of you!

First, we where at the store near Grizzly River Run shopping with our Disney Visa Debit which gives us a 10% discount. We checked out with our merchandise and then noticed they did not give us the proper discount so the CM Joe who is infamous for his pins apologized and corrected the issue. He then put his hand into a bag and pulled out a random pin for my wife who trades. He then put it in her hand and told her to open it elsewhere so the other guests who not be upset. So after we left she opened her hand to reveal the Grape Soda Club Pin, which is something she has always wanted.

Next, we purchased 3 day Park Hopper tickets and on our second day we arrived early for Magic Morning like we typically do. However, the lady who scanned our tickets told us we do not have Magic Morning. As we have done this many times I was really confused. The issue was this year we purchased the tickets through my father in laws work, rather than mine. I guess the tickets he purchased did not have Magic Morning. The lady at the gate seemed to understand why we were confused and while we were walking away she hollered at us and let us through the gates! She even said "Time for a Little Disney Magic".

Finally, we preordered the Photopass + and since it was new to us this year we threw away the DVD case. Well as many of you know inside of that case is a unique activation code. So our first day of the trip we mentioned that to the person at the photo counter and he gave us a business card with the customer service information and told us to call after the trip. So we took as many photos as we could during our trip and today I had time to call to get it sorted out. Well Mike the CM told us he would credit us the photos even though he never gets permission to do so.

These were the three big moments we experienced on our trip. We did receive a lot more Disney Magic as our group of 6 had 2 wheelchairs. A few CM's gave us fast passes to ride rather than wait in line at certain rides. I also got to take a picture with a storm trooper, which was amazing as the storm trooper was not letting anyone else take a photo with him.

Long story short, I love Disneyland!

It is a magical Place and I was reminded of this while I was at Six Flags this weekend, SF is not the same...

That sounds like a lot of pixie dust was sprinkled for you and your family. Glade it all worked out.

I love these type stories! Glad you had Disney Magic! Thanks for sharing!

I love these stories too! What a great trip for you - I especially love it that the CM let you have a Magic Morning! One time we got a little Pixie Dust when my DGD6 was wearing her birthday button. We were coming off of RSR and a CM was walking in through the exit, and he saw her button and asked her if it was her actual birthday (it was) and he said it was his birthday too, and he gave her one of those magical anytime FPs. She was so excited!

That's awesome! Was your Magic Morning last Tuesday? We were in line and saw a family denied for the Magic Morning- the CM at the gate seemed to feel really bad and called the family back and said to make sure they went through her line? I thought that was awesome! Don't know if that was you guys or if it is a fairly common issue they have.

We didn't have any specific magical moments-but did have one Photopass Photographer tell my children that he was going to shoot them with a crossbow if they didn't liven up for the picture- and called them zombies many times. I don't know what he expected- they were being polite and not acting crazy, but in hindsight I wish I had said something to someone- definitely out of line! We had a great time overall, though.

I love when Disney Magic happens and love even more when its so appreciated! Sounds like you had a fabulous time!

LOVE the magic! I've been in *happy* tears several times thanks to it and will never forget! Truly a special feeling. Glad you got some. :)

There is one cm at the front gate who is always amazing with families who thought they could get in early for emh or mm and were denied due to some mix up. I don't remember her name, but on many occasions she has let families in and it always puts smiles on family faces. There are some cms who truly make the trip magical. Thankfully they outnumber the ones that don't seem to care.

We have received a little magic ourselves!

I had received an offer for discounted hotel rates that expired a week before our planned 20th anniversary trip. When I called to ask if they would extend the special discount rate an extra week so we could take advantage of it for our trip in September and they said no, I thought the issue was over and done.

Well, the next day I got a call from their Special Activities department. After asking why I needed those particular dates and I explained that it was to celebrate our 20th anniversary and I wanted to surprise my wife with a stay at the GCH, the lady once again apologized and said they can't extend the dates of the offer. She then said that since it is a special day for us and we are sharing it with Disney, she has a special offer for us only available through her department. She gave me a Premium View room, which normally goes for $500+ a night, for only $189 a night for the duration of our stay (1 week).

Great to hear you got some magic.

We got some Disney magic ourselves last year when a CM allowed us to go in a roped off area to watch Fantasmic! My son was so proud because he was the one who asked the CM... :smickey:
This was before they they implemented the Fast Pass though.

I so enjoy hearing stories like this.
Disney is clearly still doing things right and allowing its people some valuable leeway.

I had an interesting experience in December that made me realize how much the Disney experience makes a difference. We had just come off a week long cruise (my first Disney cruise) and I was absolutely blown away at the level of service on the ship-it was always sparkling clean, all the cast members were incredibly friendly...it was phenomenal.

Then we went to Universal for a few days. I had fun, but here's a prime example of the difference. In waiting in line for food from a stand/cart, an employee with a HUGE wheeled cart full of garbage kind of jutted in to change the trash..right in front of us all...waiting in line for food. You NEVER see that at Disney.

Glad you had a great experience!
