I have heard good things about CA Grill. Right now, I'm debating whether or not to make an ADR there or not. We are not sushi people, though. Would you still recommend eating here, or would it not be worth it?

Of course you can have a good meal at CG if you don't like sushi. Take another look at their menu. There are all kinds of things to eat that don't involve sushi.

Absolutely! I think that the majority of the menu items are not sushi. It's mostly appetizers and there are still a ton of non-sushi apps, too.

TOTALLY!!! :goodvibes When we went, I was the only one who had sushi, but all of us enjoyed our respective meals. The sushi offerings are just one small part of the menu options..and there are MANY tasty non-sushi items on there.

Absolutely 100% yes :thumbsup2

DH and I have eaten at the Cali Grill more than 10 times, plus we had our wedding reception there, and neither of us have ever eaten sushi there (sushi is icky!)

We may one day try it, but until then I will have the amazing flat breads, soups, salads, appetizers, filet, fish, pasta, did I mention the filet? and incredible desserts. And the lovely bread of course :lmao:

Seriously, the sushi is there if you like it but you don't miss out on something key by not eating it.

I would say it is comparable to asking if by not riding "It's a small world after all" in the Magic Kingdom, is it not worth going to MK at all? For some people it is a classic, must do, signature experience. For others it's fine but nothing special, and for others there are so many other things to do they don't notice it!

Go to Cali Grill and you will have a wonderful meal whether or not you choose to eat sushi :goodvibes

(By the way, to all those who may be appalled I have never tried Cali Grill sushi, I am planning to one day, it's just the flatbreads and filet always get me sidetracked! :rotfl:)

Miranda (for the record, total fan of It's a small world ;))

We love the Cali Grill and I am not a fan of Sushi. DH is and loved what he tried. I have always loved the goats cheese ravioli starter and the Seared Bison with the truffle mac and cheese is amazing.

Never had a bad meal in the 4 times we have been. Amazing view from up there of the fire works at MK.

I had one of the best steaks I had ever eaten at CG. I could cut it with my fork! Also, the butternut squash soup was fantastic.

I am not a sushi fan either and LOVED CG. My filet was one of the best I've ever had and the flatbreads were good as well.

We are not big into sushi (unless it is a tempura sushi, yes I am a wimp :goodvibes) and we LOVE CG. It is a must do for us. DH, DD10, and I all love the filet while DD8 always can find something on the kids menu. There is so much to offer than Sushi there, definitely still worth going...the view alone is worth it :thumbsup2.

We aren't fans of sushi either and thoroughly enjoyed our meal there. I would absolutely make an ADR there for the food and the view.

Sushi is a relatively small part of their menu and nobody is required to order it.

Do you like pork? Possibly the best thing I have ever tasted in my life is their Pork Tenderloin with Goat Cheese Polenta. Their Filet was also incredible, and my DS swears that the best thing HE ever tasted was the (cooked) Salmon with mushroom and fig risotto (seasonal). Their molten chocolate cake dessert is the best we have had of its kind. We also had a really hard time selecting a few appetizers to share, and chose a few that weren't sushi; they were amazing! It is absolutely worth going! It was one of our best dining experiences ever!
