We did well! back from Disney with an Autistic child

Just wanted to say that I'm taking my little boy with PDD to WDW for the first time at the beginning of Dec--he'll be four and his little sister 2--and everyone's information has been greatly appreciated!!!

BTW, we watched the Travel Channel's shows on WDW recently and loved it; if you go to www.travelchannel.com just do a Disney search and they'll tell you when the programs are coming on next/again. They'll even send you a heads-up email on the day!

This one's coming on tomorrow; saw it yesterday and really enjoyed it!

Teri- I can relate to the non-stop interest in Disney Vacation Planning Videos and the special resort channel. My DS has Austistic Spectrum Disorder. His fascination with Disney theme parks began at an early age and hasn't ceased. He can find Anaheim and Orlando on the World Globe with his eyes shut. Needless to say, we finally threw in the towel after many visits to DL, then to WDW and purchased an AP this last trip. One of his favorite videos is the Disney Sing Along Songs where they tour Disneyland. His life revolves around many of the Disney characters, and the rides (Splash Mountain is his favorite). It is such a joy to share in his Magic. It makes the trips to Disney that more special!

BTW, after we returned from Spring Break, his teachers and aids said, "What did you do with him. He's so focussed and attending so well in school." How about a good dose of WDW. Works like a charm every time!

These boards are great.

It really is therapeutic. And they really do benefit - we all do. :)
