We did the SEGWAY tour on 9/21 @ 9am at it was incredible!!!!!!!!!
I recommend it to everyone-- well over 16!
I was a bit scared I wouldnt get the hang of it- so when were in EPCOT one night we were walking through Innovations and you can try one out for free! It is only for 5 minutes- no big deal- but it was free!
I thought that would be good for me- at least I can get the feel of it before the big day! I was a little rocky-
The big day came, you meet at guest relations and then go over to the Innovations bldg, there, you have to watch an instructional/educational video- the instructor talks to you about - I guess a half hour or more- you then go out of the video room and the SEGWAYS are lines up- you practice getting off and on- turning the machine off and on- and then you do some maneuvers on the carpet- around cones, practice stopping, going up and down the ramp. By then- you feel very comfortable on it- not a problem.
We all then line up like little ducklings and follow the leader- there is also a instructor who follows behind- in case any little ducks fall behind!- We rode over to the restrooms, just in case! and then off we go, over to the World Showcase- its great- everyone is looking at you like you are the luckiest person in the world!
We went through Mexico and Norway- those 2 countries were open to the public at this time b/c of the princess BF in Norway- but then you head on over to China where someone is waiting to open the ropes just for you! We rode through China all the way to the back into the store and around- we get a little story about China and we are off- this time we are allowed to space out- we dont have to do a line anymore, but still stayed close- we then rode through Germany- though the little sit down part in the back- we all stop and get another little tid-bit of info and then off to Italy--- we rode in and out of the large columns out front and then we rode around to the back- and they let you try making a 360 turn right on the little ramp by Alfredos- it feels pretty cool- like you are going to fall over- but of course, you dont!
This is where you get to ride around for a while- they set up cones at the parameters of Italy and the beginning of America and you can ride as you want all around this area- you stop and get pics- the instructors will take them for you with your own cameras. We stayed about 1/2 hr maybe a bit more. By the time we got to France the "stampede" was coming over the bridge- we had to maneuver the crowd- remember these are the people who dont pay attention to where they are walking- THEY DONT EVEN SEE A SEGWAY COMING AT THEM! our instructor then took us over to the UK gardens- we rode through the english garden crazy pathway!!!!! it was great- you know you are a pro when you can get through the maze without falling off the edge-- everyone made it without a problem!!
We then went back to Innovations and got our little SEGWAY pins!
It was sooooooo worth doing this-- DH LOVED! IT! and I have to say- I had tons of fun!
If you have a chance-- do it!

so I was a little worried. I was very proud of myself. I had no problems at all and enjoyed every minute of it. We surprised our son with the Segway Tour (he was 18 at the time) and he thought it was awesome.
