After much consideration and lurking here on the DVC boards, my DF and I called last night and bought some points! :woohoo: Thanks for all the great advice on here from everyone. We just decided it was a good decision since we will be getting married at WDW in May 2008. Now we can have an even better honeymoon than we were planning :goodvibes

Congrats on both your upcoming wedding and your DVC purchase. May both give you much happiness for a long, long time.:goodvibes

Congratulations. My DW and I spent our honeymoon in WDW many years ago and still enjoy it as much today as we did back then. Of course we now have four wonderful children tagging along so our enjoyment is somewhat different than it was then.

Congratulations and welcome home!!!

You think its a good deal now, just wait until the little ones come into your life and see how much joy it will bring to their lives! :yay:

That is awesome on both accounts. I guess you know where you'll be staying for the wedding!

You think its a good deal now, just wait until the little ones come into your life.....

Reminds me of the great quote from "Vacation" when Eugene Levy says this to Chevy Chase when he is selling him his Family Truckster:

"You think you hate it now, but just wait until you drive it."

Congrats! A great foundation for your family's memories!

My neighbor stayed at her non-DVC timeshare on her honeymoon, and justified the "free" lodging (at a participating timeshare in Hawaii) to splurge on first-class airline tickets.

As a late bloomer Disneyphile, I think a WDW wedding is an awesome idea!

Enjoy your wedding and many, many DVC trip plans!

Congrats! Hey, you get to have a honeymoon that lasts around 40 years! Oh wait, even longer if you bought SSR.... around 50 years? Okay, that is pretty much a whole lifetime!
