We decided to purchase thru Timeshare Store!

Well, we finally made the decision to purchase last night. Our bid for a resale for $75 pr point at OKW was accepted by the seller.

Through the Timeshare Store- Robert is our sales rep- very helpful.

Heres what we are hoping passes ROFR-

230 Point Contract @ $75 pr point

207 points coming on 4/1/07, 230 pts coming April 1 2008

We are planning to take our first DVC trip in Sept '07
I'll be sending out the paperwork and money tomorrow and overnighting.

Funny part is we are buying from another family who live in CT.

Fingers crossed!

We are not financing. Although I think the whole "family vacation" plan has really hit home with DH that we are no longer single and staying in Mod with 1 King size bed and powering thru the parks is not the vacation of the future for us,
I think OKW will be perfect, I look forward to spending more time at my resort and using the kitchen to feed my baby and myself healthier meals (like fruits and veggies!). I do hope to get a room with either an elevator or a ground floor, I dont know how we would manage with a stroller with a room without either.

i think our next big decision will be to sell our Dodge Viper- just doesn't fit into our new life with a baby- and more money for our Disney trips! LOL!

Old Key West is a great resort to spend time at. When you check in you get a list of activities for the week. It includes sandcastle building, Goofy bingo, pool activities, make your own magnet or teddy bear slippers, sand art, hat/kite/t-shirt/umbrella decorating, and lots more.

we just did our first vacation at OKW (1br)... & DW really liked it...

we bought at BCV for the proximity, pool for kids, etc.... and now I am trying to convince her to try that BCV and her response was... OKW was great! The irony of life.

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but DVC recently ROFR'ed two OKW contracts at $84 and another at $75. No one knows what goes on in the DVC mind, but don't count your points until they've hatched.

Sorry to be a pessimest, but hey....I'm a Red Sox fan...it goes with the territory .....

I just love how different people have different loves of resorts. There isn't a bad resort... DVC rocks... Good luck and welcome home.

Good luck with RoFR! We Were ROFR 3 times and passed on the 4th. Process went from Oct to Mar. Don't want to get you down but be ready. It was a ride.

We used them in 2002 and had a very good experience. About 6-8 weeks start to finish with no hassles.
