We Decided.... but did we make the right choice?

We decided and made reservations for the Carribean Beach Resort (CBR - correct?) in September. We priced it and the Poly, and the CBR was less than half. That made up our mind very quickly.

Now, I'm not sure we choose the right place! Help! Did I make a good choice? This trip will be myself, DH, DD(8), and DD(3).

If you are at CBR around 9PM(check the schedule) watch for the illuminations fireworks ...you can see them from the CBR....

PlaneJoy: You will go nuts if you ask yourself if you made the right choice. This board is filled with threads from people who fret and fret and fret about everything. My philosophy is: you will have a great time. It would be nice to stay at the Poly, and if codes come out maybe you can, but for now be happy with cbr. and know that you did the right thing. Do not get into second guessing yourself. For your own sanity.

Rest assured you have made a good decision...We love the CBR! The colors are fun, the food court is good, & you can see the Epcot ireworks from their beach. We had Martinique close to the food court & the pools.
We stayed there when we were "technically" 4 people (baby was in the crib). Now we are 5 & cannot stay there in 1 room anymore...I'd stay there again if I could..p.s. my kids loved the CBR too.

<<<<<<Have stayed there twice(Martinique and Aruba) loved the colorful theming, the happy island music, great gift shop and I found the food court very good. But the refillable mugs. They will save you a lot. I also thought the rooms were very comfy. You made agreat choice.

CBR is a great choice. The best part of the whole stay for me was to get up early in the a.m. (I'm an early riser), get my mug of coffee and grab a hammock on the "Beach" by the lake to wait for the world to get moving. It was a great place for a little quite time before hitting the parks!

We LOVED the CBR and I am fretting about not staying there this time, but DH wanted to try a different moderate. I think you will love it. If you are concerned about the amount of walking to get to the food court/main pool then request a room in Martinique. We were in building 25 and couldn't have asked for anything better!!

I really like CBR, but Poly does nothing for me so.... you could be just like me! I didn't find it that spread out. (Poly is not exactly all in one building!)
The landscaping and the food court are nice.

I think you made the right choice as well. After all, who can actually RELAX on a vacation if they are worried about money the entire time? Chosing the CB not only saved you a lot of money but it frees up the money you would have spent at the Poly for fun things! Like those lovely little whims that your children may have when they see a Stitch stuffed animal at the parks or Mickey Mouse ears! Also, just something I've noticed amongst my friends and family, if you liked the Poly, you tend to like the CB, and vice versa. You'll have a great time at the CB! I would stay at the CB over the GF, the Contemporary, the WL, etc. any day of the week! Trust me its a great resort! Right now my husband is actually oscillating between the CB and the AKL for our honeymoon. He keeps going "Tropical... Animals... Tropical.... Animals...." lol

CBR is awesome we stayed in october and it was great!!! You really feel like your in the islands! The two mousekeepers we had during our stay were wonderfull also they made numerous towel animals and did the cutest arrangements with our DS's toys. The one mousekeeper took all the stuffed animals and hid them in the shower and left a note on the bed that said "Missing something???" and when our DS's found them there was a note that said "ha ha ha you found us!!!" We really loved it! We would stay our next trip but my DH really wants to try a deluxe. Have a great trip!!
