I hope the recovery continues smoothly.

It gave me such a sense of peace the morning of her surgery that I had zero concern about her going into it. I just knew everything was going to be ok! She said there was a woman with dark hair holding her hand during the surgery and she thought it was her mom....that made me cry thinking of my Gran.

I had to laugh at the angels versus morphine post! Is it OK to say that I believe both? I definitely believe in angels, but maybe, just maybe, the morphine makes them a little easier to see!

I heard your mom is off the ventilator and has reasonable blood gases considering her valve disease! I hope things continue to go well!

It is totally ok to say you believe in both...my BFF said when she had her liver surgery that watermelons were talking to her somedays and other days it was long passed relatives...so yes I believe in both too

Yes she is off the ventilator and let me tell you she has 4 days of talking to make up and she was doing a heck of a job last night yakking

I hope they continue to go well too, but having the heart surgery looming over our heads still makes me so nervous. Thanks for everything ME...you have been a godsend to us all

I could easily eat the whole box....I have learned to freeze it so I can enjoy it for a longer period of time

Hello friends!!

Everytime I write that I think of my friend Gorett...everytime we go on a girls weekend to the states and we're in Target she always wanders off without realizing she has no clue where we all are...and the next thing we hear ... at the top of her lungs is .... Friends....Friends....where are youShe cracks me up!

Anyhoodle, I had my first weigh in with my personal trainer on Monday! I am beyond excited at my success...that's right peeps....my success!!! I was down 6 pounds and 12.5 inches!!! I was blown away at the inches....there's something to be said about the whole diet and exercise My next weigh in is August 10 and I'm aiming for 8 pounds on that weigh in.not sure how the inches will be next time but I'll take whatever I get

We have had little time lately to think about our trip but I did decide not to order our Islands of Adventure tickets through airmiles. I don't know if they work the same as the Disney tickets with no expiration so I told the kids we would just buy them if we still go!

Jasmine went today and bought the 2 nail polish colors we both want for the trip so that was another thing crossed off the list! My favorite is Black Cherry Chutney by OPI and Jasmine wanted My chihuahua bites...I love the names they come up with!

I am thinking very positively that we will be going and we have to plan on going...if we don't ... it's all good, but I can't imagine not being prepared and all of a sudden departure day is around the corner! My aunt arrived yesterday from Scotland and is planning on staying until middle of September so at least if my mom's still in the hospital my dad won't be home all by himself...that was bothering me!

We also decided that we would all just get a limo to the airport ... it's cheaper than Peg and family getting a taxi from their end of the city and if we split it it's about $35 each...can't go wrong there. We have to be picked up and at the airport by 4am and we've always found this one limo company to be great...they will pick Peg's family up, drive to our place (15 mintes from Peg) pick us up and drive to the airport (15 minutes from our house) for the same price as picking up one family That's why they get our repeat business

There you have it...the latest in our crazy lives! I will have another update done on the weekend, hopefully I can start on our second week...as of this coming Sunday....we're at 5 weeks

OPI has a new Nail Polish for the new Pirates movie - several actually - I got "Mermaid's Tears" - I think I will go back and get "Sparrow me all the drama" too!Mermaid's tears is an interesting shade of sea green while the other is a muted pink. Nice to hear you be chatting about your trip - planning is at least half of the fun!

Sorry for being a crappy friend and not checking in more often. It's been kind of a crappy summer for us but we are hopeful as things are looking up the last couple of weeks.

Many congratulations to you on the inches and weight loss. You must be . I am so happy for you!!! I've been working hard on my weight as well. Slowly but surely I'm starting to see some results.

Just found your PTR & began reading it & I LOVE IT Congrats on the weight loss & on your daughter's graduation. Have to ask though, is your daughter still into WDW as much as when she was small? My DD(9) asked me today, "Mom what if when I become a teenager & I no longer want to go to WDW?" I almost cried What would I do without my #1 WDW fan? I am guessing thought that her feelings for WDW will never changes as long as I keep the magic alive. Looking forward to following you on your journey.
