We can dream, can't we???

I'm not sure I would be comfy there! But I'm sure I'd try it given the chance:thumbsup2

You know, I don't know that I'd particularly like staying overnight in the park, be it Magic Kingdom or Disneyland.

I more or less stay up all night, so what is there to do after park closing? Are there in/out privileges or are you stuck in the park for the whole night?

Yeah, y'all probably think I'm crazy now...

Not crazy, that's just you. I personally, think it would be the chance of a lifetime. I'm guessing, it's basically soundproof, so you wouldn't hear too much outside....I guess for me, a TOTAL Disney Fanatic, it would be an AMAZING time...again, dreaming....:wizard:

I spose it would be great if I was there with my BF... but if I was alone or with my sister or something... eh... not so much. Again, what would I do all night? Do they have room-service all night at least?

I think I'd feel more like I was "trapped" in disney!

A touch stuffy for my personal tastes, but I sure as heck wouldn't say no.

And AlexMouse, you maybe right. I doubt you'd be given many freedoms. And they'd probably frown if you did the European "haning the towels out on the balcony to dry" :P

Yeah it might be cool if they let u walk around the park all night or something... but I'm guessing they confine you to your room with no room service after a certain time... hmmm does it have a minibar at least?

LOL :)

And I'm guessing, that's why they never rented it out. People would LOVE the IDEA of it..but once they (myself included) realized, once your in, your IN! There's no late night hot tub, swim in the pool, walk down to the bar for a few drinks...nadda. However, ONE night, in HER castle, well...I'd do it in a heartbeat!

From recollection of reading about people who have won the chance to stay in the room, you have a personal staff that is assigned to you while staying at the castle room who will escort you in and out of the park (ie. you're going to DTD or the like) and who will handle food/dining requests.

That's the only big thing I don't like about staying in WDW: If you don't have a car you're pretty much stuck in the hotel room once midnight rolls around. We tried to get a pizza at about 11pm, and all of the pizza delivery places had closed. I'm used to staying up past 3 or 4am, but I try to convert my sleep schedule when I go on vacation.

Although I'm sure staying in the castle suite would provide lots of things to look at and do. :scratchin

I would just want to run through the park naked at 3am. Just because I could.

Wait, there's probably staff everywhere on the 3rd shift....

That's why I used to really like Pleasure Island... I've stayed many a night until 2 AM there. I'm really sad that it's gone! (Well, not gone but gone as it used to be, anyway.)

You're right about that I'm sure. I dunno about Magic Kingdom, but at Disneyland they have these incredibly bright "work lights" that come out of the tops of buildings on Main Street and elsewhere in the park that makes it as bright as day in the middle of the night.

I've seen them many times coming back from a late movie at Downtown Disney.

My understanding is that the staff works all night to ready to the park for the next day.

If you ever get the chance to do it, be sure and post a video. :thumbsup2

It kind of turns the whole "family" atmosphere of Disney upside down doesn't it? :rotfl:

Back to the suite though.... I always wanted to be picked to stay at the Suite in DL during the Year (that was more like 18 months) of a Million Dreams, which is above POTC and overlooks New Orleans Square, but they only seemed to choose a husband and wife with a couple kids each time. :( From what I understand Lasseter and his family are the only ones that have been staying there a lot since the YOAMD promotion ended.

:confused3
I dunno. Define "family".

"Family" as in: "Hey gurrrrrrl! Come on over, and we'll have a cocktail!

Or as in: "Tommy....get your feet off the couch!"

:scratchin

*squeal*

Thanks for postin' this doll!

I have a wonderful friend who got to stay in the castle suite last December. And my word...the pictures she has from her stay are beyond gorgeous!

They went down after park closing and took a picture in front of the castle with all of the lights on it.

Would I stay there? Hell yea. I'm just diva enough to like it.

Now...if only there was someone there to fan me and feed me grapes. :cloud9:
