We can BUY a giclee?

OK am I the only one who thinks it's just wrong that the Member site is SELLING giclees before everyone has received theirs yet!!!???

It says limited number available. I'm still waiting for mine. What happens if by the time they are all supposed to be delivered I still don't receive one & all the for sale ones are gone?

I think they should have waited until all the mailings were complete before making them available for sale.

I would guess that they pulled all of the members prints out first and set them aside for mailing, before they put the remainder up for sale.

My guess is they wouldn't be available for sale if they didn't have enough to send to all members, and to cover any "lost in the mail" scenarios.


I haven't received mine yet, but since Disney's "deadline" is still four weeks away, I'm not going to worry about it.

As for selling them, well if they can recoup some of the costs of doing this nice thing for the membership then I have no issue with that.

I sorta wonder how well these would sell. I mean since every DVC member is supposed to be getting one... there's a very limited population of folks that would want 2....

People who weren't in the system at the time the prints went out might want them. Plus a few collectors.

as long as every member gets one, I have no problem with them selling them.

But believe me if I don't get one and they sell them and they are all gone, Yes I am going to be hot and yall all know I don't get hot at Disney very often, but this will be the one time that will make an impression.

Ok now, here is hoping mine comes this week.

We haven't gotten ours yet either, but we do have 2 homes. We have our DVC prints/Members Cruise prints in each. If this is as nice as it seems, sure, we may buy another one for Cape May.

I not only haven't received mine, but I haven't been able to login to the DVC website for some reason since last Friday, so I didn't know they were even selling them. I have seen one for sale on Ebay already and thought that didn't seem right either, but that's just me I guess. Hoping my print and planner arrive soon.

And why not, you are member, they are sending them to all members so why would you feel you are not entitled to get one.

Just to clarify -

I don't have a problem with them being for sale - think it's a great option for people who would like more than one.

I don't think I'm "entitled" to a gift. If for some reason the mail loses mine or it gets ruined in transit (whatever) I would have no problem paying for one.

For me it was a question of availability.

I just thought it showed a lack of coutesy to make "seconds" available to those who haven't received "firsts".

Maybe I'm just too anxious to get mine. Every day has become "Ooh, maybe today" then "Oh well, maybe tomorrow" When I saw they were for sale all I could think was "(tsk) Aw, Maaannnn"

Guess I am in the minority & need to stop trying to be the polite police.

However, now that they have posted that all members will be getting one by October 31st, I do feel entitled to get one (I mean they told me I was supposed to get one). Had they not posted that announcement I would not have called if I didn't get one, but now there's an expectation that I should be getting one.

I think it's a great idea and many members will be even more thrilled to be members. I just want mine to hurry up and arrive so I can figure out how I want to rearrange my pictures.

I want mine too! I would really like to know how they decide to mail them. My sister got hers 2 days ago, she lives on cape cod too, my last name comes aphabetically before hers, I have been a member longer......just doesn't make any sense.

Totally agree and come November if mine has not come I will expect them to send me one, after I notify them.

There has been at least two separate bids end on ebay. One bid that ended yesterday sold for $41 + #10 shipping, also included a DVC planner. Same seller has just listed another print as well. How does that make all of you/us that haven't rec'd a 1st one yet feel?
