We braved the 4th!!! AND the rain...and the crowds??? 7/1-7/8 BOOKED NEXT TRIP!!!!

Hi Nikki! I had about a million things to reply to so let's see if I remember them all! :rotfl:

First of all, it is so incredibly strange that you saw the Oscar Meyer Weiner Mobile on the 11th because I saw it on the 12th...while I was driving (in PA) to take my parents to the airport (they are at MNSSHP as we speak!) I just thought that was hilarious since you were traveling TO Pennsylvania & thats where I saw it the next day. I've never seen it before so it was quite an experience. I don't have any pictures of it because I was blabbing to my mom about all the food she needs to eat at Epcot & all the souvenirs she needs to buy at DTD. :lmao:

I soooo understand what you mean about having the Disney blues...I am going through it soooo badly right now! I took my parents to the airport this past Sunday. We talked about Disney the entire way down (its about an hour drive). In the middle of the conversation, I just stopped mid-sentence & said "Oh...wow...I'm not going...but I want to go so bad...here we are talking about Disney...and I'm not going." I swear I almost burst into tears! :sad2: I had a moment...but managed to control myself & continue giving them tips for their trip!

Wish I would have been reading this before your trip to Hershey. We used to go there every year over the Thanksgiving weekend. I think we went 12-13 years straight! We used to stop at the outlets every trip, I was going to suggest that to you! :goodvibes

Yes, yes...good old Pennsylvania...the state with all the stupid, ridiculous alcohol rules! I don't get it myself & I've lived here my entire life! We live about 25 minutes from Ohio so we prefer going over there when we need to buy something alcoholic or if we want to go out to dinner. PA seems to have the stupidest laws regarding pretty much everything! We don't know why! :scared1:

I love the Hershey street lights! Even though we used to travel there so much, I still love seeing them! They actually do have giant candy bar characters at Hershey Park. We always went during the Christmas festivities so they may only be seasonal, I'm not sure. I'll look for a picture for you! I had my picture taken with the giant Hershey Chocolate Bar and the Reese's guy so I definitely know they exist! lol

Loved your Epcot shirt...you are right, had to represent!!! I loved it when you said that! :thumbsup2

Its so easy to compare everything to Disney. We were watching the fireworks this past 4th of July (in good old PA...lol) and I started freaking out! I turned to my husband and said "they messed up the show already...they started the fireworks before they started playing the music!" I was seriously upset. He just looked at me & said "no, thats not here...thats at Disney...you are not at Disney." I was just soooo used to the wonderful fireworks displays that I expected something at least half as good...but unfortunately I walked away from the 4th disappointed. Nothing compares to Disney!

Loved all of your pics from Hershey & the mini-TR. I love Chocolate World! My husband has never been there so I really want to take him & our son during the holidays this year! I honestly think I know the tour by heart...my parents, brother and I used to ride it 10 times in a row! How did you like the gift shop? Do they still have those giagantic 10 pound chocolate bars???

Oh, I almost forgot! The food you got looked delicious!

Good choice with the song for the video! I think the video is a great idea, the parents & kids will really love it!

I kept hoping you would post that your sister found her camera...did she? I really hope so. That would be horrible! I would be upset if I lost pictures from pretty much anything, but especially if I lost special moments of my son! I really, really hope she found it. Please keep us updated!

Does he have a booth? We hit up most of the comic store booths as Bryan likes to buy comics and I also look for the old Disney comics and buy those. We had a fun trip last year but it was exhausting to take the train in every day from CT!

No he won't have a booth. Being a representative basically means he gets to go around to all the other booths and get free stuff!

That is sooo funny! He must have been just traveling around PA!

Aren't the disney blues the WORST! I totally get what you mean. I cried when my sister got to WDW. I couldn't help it!

I'm not a big shopper but the outlets were a good way to kill some time before we could check into the hotel. Plus, I got all those good deals on the disney t-shirts for my niece!

I went to college in PA and I don't remember that law! I know that we had to go to separate stores to buy liquor and beer but I don't remember not being able to get a 6-pack! But in college, maybe we just always bought cases!

I love the Hershey street lights! Even though we used to travel there so much, I still love seeing them! They actually do have giant candy bar characters at Hershey Park. Grr! We reeeally wanted to at least see some characters! Definitely post your pics if you can find them!

I had to!:thumbsup2

I do that with EVERYTHING! It's just TOO good! Like I said, Disney has RUINED us!

Chocolate World was okay but, like I said, I'm not a big shopper and I hate crowds. For some reason, even in the dead of summer, Disney never seems crowded to me. Just too many people bumping into each other in Chocolate World. The ride was hilarious! We were cracking up at the cows singing that song! They have the 5 pound chocolate bar, giant reeses and a giant hershey kiss that's hollow and filled with more kisses. We bought the world's longest twizzlers....they are all gone already!

Oh, I almost forgot! The food you got looked delicious!

It was so good! Have you ever eaten there?

Good choice with the song for the video! I think the video is a great idea, the parents & kids will really love it!

I really hope it comes out as well as I'm envisioning it!

Unfortunately, no...she never found it. I feel so bad for her but other than that first day, she hasn't talked about it. That's better than I would do. I would never be able to forgive myself...not for losing the camera but for losing the pictures!

Thanks so much for all your comments!!!

Picked up my wedding album today...FINALLY!! It looks totally awesome!

Just one small problem...

It says July 18, 2008.

We were married July 18, 2009. :sad2:

Can the cover be redone?

:headache::headache::headache: Will they fix it?

YES! I already contacted them and they said they will just order a new cover and then I'll just have to bring it back and it should be ready in a few days.

DOH! :headache:

Hmmm, if they really thought it was 7-18-2008 then they should rethink their turnaround time!

Seriously!

Although, I'm know of people who have been married for years and have yet to pick pictures for the albums. I thought I was bad waiting 6 months but after the wedding, I saw so many wedding pictures that I just didn't want to look at them anymore! :lmao:

I thought in these days of digital photography, it shouldn't take that long! I was married in 1991, and it took 5 months to get my photos. But at least then, it was film. It shouldn't take that long now.

Glad to hear you can get a new cover!!

I got my photos back in a week - we made a few prints, but ya...that's ALL I have done with them! I really should make some cool albums off Shutterfly from our wedding and our travels. Someday!!

Well the guy who owns the place is a little crazed and there was a miscommunication (on his part!). We picked our pictures in December and over the summer, he called and said he was waiting on ME to pick a cover photo but he never told me that! Then that was when I had the whole "popcorn in the throat" issues so I was in no mood for his BS....

But we finally got it!

Glad to hear you can get a new cover!!

Aw, you should definitely make an album!

Soooo excited about this new "memories" campaign! I am all about hearing magical memories and seeing pics and videos of people enjoying the magic!

I just submitted my "Growing Up Disney" video. It said, all submission go through a review process and I'll get an e-mail stating whether or not my video will be posted.

If it doesn't get posted, I'm going to submit SOOOO many pics and videos until SOMETHING of mine is posted! Haha!! I can't post the other videos of me and Tom because I use copyrighted songs but I assume the songs I used on my Growing Up Disney video is okay because they are disney songs!!

Here's the website, in case anyone is interested!

http://memories.disneyparks.disney.go.com/#/landing

I've never been to that website before, it's awesome! Your video HAS to get on there!!! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed!

I think it's totally new! They just announced the campaign today!

I reeeally hope my video makes it! It's not like it's a contest or anything but I'm just really exited at the idea of someone at Disney seeing it. :goodvibes

Fingers crossed they select your video.

We kinda of watched the first half of the conference yesterday. I thought they would have announced more, but like you say it was mostly about this Memories. Its kinda cool, but I'm not sure about projecting photos the way they are doing it on the Castle though.

Hi Nikki!
I thought of your videos yesterday when I read about the new Memories campaign for 2011 - so glad to hear you've submitted one! :thumbsup2

I quite like the theme.. apparently there's a new song too?!

Emma princess: x

Hope so! I submitted a lot of pics and the one of Tom and I in our rain coats in the pouring rain on our first day of THIS trip is on there. I searched "epcot" and it showed up. I searched "first day" and it was there too! I guess they liked that one! I can't find my other ones unless I specifically look under "my memories."

New song?!?! Hahah! You and I are so on the same page when it comes to Disney music! Maybe it's a song I'll be able to use for my class video NEXT year!!

Awesome :teeth: I searched and found you and liked you :teeth:

Guess they have alot of submissions to go through so am sure you will find a few more over time :)

I'm trying to remember all the promotions, who can help me?

It was...

Happiest Celebration on Earth
Year(s) or a Million Dreams
What Will You Celebrate?
Give a Day-Get a Day

(or were those last two the other way around? They kind of all started blending!)

And now this new Memories one. Right?
