mg DS is 5 and he loved it there loved the cow boy theme! he is a v big fan of woody anh he assumed he lived there lol we stayed in the jessie james building which made his more excited has again he thought this was where jessie lived! hope yours like it too :goodvibes

Great news!! :banana: :banana: :banana: Good luck with keeping it secret! :wizard:

Your boys will love the theming of the Cheyenne - it's like a wild west town. :thumbsup2

Aww that's great news.
We have always stayed in the Cheyenne and dd loves it here she calls it Woody's house :lmao:. The last time we stayed here was November last year for the christmas season, the reception and bar area is decorated so lovely. Your ds will love it too.

Im really looking forward to it and carnt wait :) could anyone advise if there are many differences between the cheyanne and the santa fe seen as they are both 2 star hotels.

Congrats on booking :thumbsup2

You have picked a great hotel, it has wonderful theming, the rooms are very comfy and warm, exactly what is needed to come back to after a cold day in the parks!

W love the hotel so much we will be staying there for the third time in as many years in December. :cool1:

The Cheyenne is fantastic for theming. I much prefer the look of the Cheyenne to the Santa Fe but both have pretty fantastic comfy beds. Even the bunks in The Cheyenne were great!

Hope you have a fun time planning and keeping a secret. Have you thought about how to tell them?

sounds lovely - I really want to go at Xmas. Need to get the OH hooked on our upcoming trip and make the most of those APs...!

WOO HOO!!!! :cool1::thumbsup2

We're just back from the Cheyenne and we really liked it! The rooms were basic but have everything you need (and you can leave a deposit for a hairdryer and kettle - take your own mugs, tea and coffee ;)). Our two kids loved the Wild West theming and the bunk beds were a great novelty too..... you'll have a fantastic time :banana::worship:

Well its a cracking hotel Vicki, just wrap up and i mean it! !!
Yes we are pretty close im from originally (coughs) Preston ......my other two older children live with their mum over that way in St Annes...

When you say wrap up Chris how cold should we expect it to be? this is the one and only thing i am concerned about is the weather and if it will spoil the boys holiday coz they are freezing!!

Hi Vicki when we went in 2008 it was freezing ! i d guess around -10c or so it was so cold,we are taking no chances again this year looking around at Sports Direct at the moment for stuff ski gloves hats etc they are really cheap. I cant vouch since 2008 im sure someone else will tell us what its been like since then. All i remember was feeling numb and carrying a Disney mug of chocolate around with us .....though the theming of the park is absolutely wonderful! Are you driving down as well and going via the Tunnel ? We are and tbh this is the one thing thats bothering me is how bad the weather is going to be as last time in December 2008 went went via the Eurostar. I will get some pics up soon for you ....

We went for Christmas in 2005 and at first it was so mild that I thought I'd wasted my money buying us all thermals ... until the weather turned overnight and it was so c-c-c-cold!!! :cold: But it is all so worth it - the decorations are absolutely beautiful and if you get real snow as well as the artificial stuff they use it's so magical. :cloud9:

We were there the weekend before christmas last year and the temperature didn't get above freezing the whole time we were there and it was snowing. We were wearing long thermal underwear, short sleeved tshirts, long sleeved tshirts, jumpers and cardigans under our coats etc. My youngest daughter still felt the cold and was a bit miserable at times. We took regular breaks for hot chocolate and when the cold got a bit too much we had a look round the shops etc.
