On our last night we have booked Crystal Palace as our 2 year old is a big fan of Pooh. I booked it before I looked at the dinner prices p.p. Oh well ,you only live once. Has anyone else ever eaten there and did you walk away with a good feeling or did you give it the old "ah, it was okay but..." Just curious as we've never done the character dinner experience before and hope we made a good choice.

Just did this dinner in December. It was our best character dining experience. The food was great and there was lots of variety. The character interaction was amazing and we didn't feel rushed at all (even thought the restaurant closed because of the Christmas party). My mom had taken an apple and banana and didn't end up eating them at the table. She put them in her bag and had them for breakfast the next day!

We love it there. We go for breakfast mind you. Its by far our favourite character meal. Its well worth the price. Just be carefull not to eat pork around piglet he gets a bit nervous:rotfl:

We've always had a great experience there ... and the looks on the kids faces is truly priceless. And think of it this way, you're not actually PAYING for your child since he/she is under 3, so don't worry about what it's costing for you and your spouse. I always loved booking character meals when our DS was not 3 yet ... we had to pay for older DD, but I always figured we got 2 kids for the price of one! :lmao: And the little guy always ate more than his older sister anyway! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

LOVE Crystal Palace!

Hi!

We did Crystal Palace for lunch and it was wonderful! The food was great and like bbangel said we didnt feel rushed at all! We had lots of interaction with the characters. It was also a great down time in the air conditioning as it was August when we were there and super hot!!!!!!

We did CP last year OOP and yes I felt the pain( of prices) as my youngest LOVED the coloured Bread. ( It's all he ate.) I 'm doing ddp this year so price is not a big deal. I love the characters here, they are worth the extra $$$!!
A buffet dinner always works well with younger kids too.

CP is awesome for everyone! The atmosphere is fab! The food is tasty and the characters are a hoot!

We actually eat here every year... usually lunch!
It is the best for character interaction and they spend a good amount of time at each table. However, pace yourself in eating as they do take a while to get all 4 characters around the 2 eating areas!
Worth the $$$!
Enjoy

We LOVE the CP. That is the one ADR that we repeat every year - lunch at the Crystal Palace. Great food, fun characters and the best location/atmosphere. I love the feeling when my pink lemonade arrives at the table and I take a few minutes just to look around and realize how incredibly lucky we are to be in this magical place! Enjoy!!!!!

Had a wonderful dinner there in Sept for my DD B-Day. She rec'd a card signed by all the characters, the table was decorated and we rec'd lots of attention from the characters.

We also dined at both Chef Mickey's and Ohana character breakfast. Lots of character attention at Ohana but the hostess couldn't wait to get us out the door. The characters were very hurried at Chef Mickey's.

We've eaten here several times before DS was born, the food is OK but the atmosphere is the best!! Last year with DS was 18 mths we brought his Pooh Halloween costume and got the best pictures ever. This year he's wearing his Tigger costume. We've only ever done dinner, so this year we're trying breakfast. I hate the idea of spending $18 on breakfast, but I'm so excited to see DS who's 2 1/2 now interact with the characters.

I like the buffet with little one's, because you don't have to wait. No looking over a menu, waiting to order, waiting for the food. Makes it a lot less stressful on us. Only 20 more days til breakfast with Pooh & Tig!!

For those of you who have been recently and have eaten lunch at the Crystal Palace, do you happen to recall what buffet items they had for children? I checked on allears.net and only macaroni and cheese and chicken tenders were listed (although there were other menu items that my kids might possibly eat). I am just wondering if they serve any other "kid-friendly" items. Thanks!!

We have lunch booked this trip. Last trip we went for breakfast and it was wonderful. The characters spent a lot of time joking around with the kids. Tigger was trying on my DD's swearter and signing her album on her head. It was definately a very enjoyable meal.

We are having dinner there soon also. Ds4 likes pooh/tigger etc so this one is for him!

We went in December and I would go again in a heart-beat. We were on the dining plan but since we did Hoop-Dee-Doo we had to pay for this one outta pocket. BUT you know what? It was the best buffet meal I can remember in a LONG time. You can't find piglet or Eeyore many other places and this was great. They all take the time to come to EACH table so you get indivual attention that is a long as you need for pics & autographs. We were all adults and got the same attention as the family beside us wth 5 kids :scared1:

FOOD?? great awesome choices. About 15 different salads ranging from normal to greek to unusual ones that you can't quite figure out. Hot food included many veggie options, garlic mashed potatoes, pasta with portabllo mushies

I forget how many kinds of meat options. Veggie meals as well.
We had a peanut allergy in our group. The CHEF came out and took her around the entire buffet to show her what was ok and what to avoid. We even got fresh HOT buns since there is a big bowl of peanut butter & jam beside the ones on buffet table. Talk about service :thumbsup2

We ate there for lunch last August and the only 3 items specifically for kids were mac n cheese, chicken tenders and pizza. There are also several kinds of bread, mashed potatoes and plain fruits and veggies. Of course there are about 6 desserts, so that's all a kid will want anyway!

we had Breakfast there and I must say it was the best buffet out of them all ... the food is all super fresh and they are constantly replenishing the food.
The interaction with the characters where pricesless.
Can't wait to do it again:banana:

We have been to Crystal Palace twice not both times for supper. Loved it, will do again on next trip.
