I promise I won't bore you with our quick breakfasts *every* morning.

But breakfast at Contempo Cafe was something we did just about every morning, supplemented by a variety of leftovers.
The first morning I got a Breakfast Burrito for Eeyore. He thought it was good, but not good enough to order again. $7.69
I shared a Bounty Platter with the kids. An absolute TON

of food for $8.29 it has scrambled eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, breakfast potatoes, french toast AND a biscuit. Most mornings after this we ordered two of these to supplement leftover food and the division went like this:
Eeyore and I, scrambled eggs and breakfast meat.
Pirate Boy, enough syrup to float a ferry and *both* slices of French Toast
Princess, breakfast sausage and *both* biscuits, smothered in Strawberry jam
Court Jester, some juice and a bit of blueberry muffin, leftover desert from our many late night CS flatbread pizza adventures here at Contempo Cafe.
We found the food to be hot, fresh and quite delicious. Every bit as good as you would get at your local diner.
Ordering at the Contempo seems to confuse folks a little bit, but if you have read about it or try it once or twice, it is a breeze. You walk up to a line of touch screens and chose your main courses and hot or cold side dishes and print out a receipt when you are done. You then pick out a desert and/or 2 beverages (assuming you are on the DP) and head for a register. You pay, with CS credits or cash and they hand you a buzzer just like the kind you get at most table service places in WDW. When your buzzer goes off, you find your food at the window -- just off the grill or griddle and under the heat lamp. If you want it to go, they throw a to go lid on right there for you. They also have paper sacks with handles if you want to bring it back to your room

. We did this a couple of times for late night snacks and at least once for breakfast.
We usually shared a couple of juices: orange, apple and a few blends are available ($2.59 each) and grabbed our "desert' drink as a Dasani water for our park bag ($2.50 each). We did not mind the water fountains and on the warmest days, we did fill our Dasani bottles at the fountains, but found that it was really helpful to have water always on us.
This morning it would have been $27.15 OOP but we used 2 CS credits and were off to Animal Kingdom.
