These snow pictures remind me why I won't move to MI to be closer to my inlaws. I remeber the first time I saw a snow blower, i kept asking Matt why that guy was using a push mower on the snow Well, I also won't move because that's where my inlaws are. Ya'll be safe and stay warm.

I never thought that anyone wouldn't know what a snowblower was!!

We were finally plowed out about an hour ago! My dh went to Meijer for a few things, he said the roads are snow covered but not too bad. The kids and I are staying in since the windchill is horrible. They want to go out and play in the snow so bad!

I had to work all weekend. I'm a waitress and usually the restaurant is really busy on the weekends. Not THIS weekend! Friday I went in at 5:00 and made a whopping $35. Yesterday I had to go in at 3:00 and it was windy and blowing so bad that DH took me as he didn't want me driving. I ended up making $28!! And today (Sunday) I had to open at 7:00 and usually don't leave until 2:00 or 2:30, but it was so s-l-o-w that they let me go home at 1:00 and I made a whole $23 for ALL DAY!!

I told DH what I made in THREE DAYS was LESS than I usually make in ONE DAY! Horrible, horrible weekend.

The wind is picking up again, but still not as bad as yesterday, but just so COLD!! Have to work again tomorrow at 3:00, but then have THREE DAYS OFF so I'll hibernate those three days!!!

Wondering if our grandkids schools will close tomorrow because of the windchills? Supposed to hit near -25!Two in school by us are within walking distance to school (meaning no bus transportation), the other two that are school age will have to stand out at a bus stop in Ann Arbor. If there's school I will definitely pick the two up after school that live nearby. Their Mom drops them off mornings. Thankfully, the other two that are school age can have their Mom keep them in the car until the bus arrives. I am 50 miles away from them, so I can't help out. Stay warm and well everyone!

I'm hoping they close school tonight. Then my ds can sleep in. I can't believe they will have school tomorrow. It has been blowing and drifting all day and now it's snowing hard again. Add that to the brutal windchills and I think it will be a snow day.

They are starting to show school closings on channel 13, I have a feeling no one is going to change the channel with the Super Bowl on. I hope so! I've been stuck at home since last Saturday. The only place I went was to volunteer at ds school for an hour on Thursday! I'm glad I don't have to go out of the house to work. I feel bad for dh though I keep trying to convince him to stay home tomorrow but I think he just wants out of the house. Oh and my youngest ds's bday was sat. poor kid, didn't even get to go to Chuck E Cheeses, I don't mind though, that is my least favorite mouse!

Well, school's closed already for my two tomorrow. I'm not sure if its the wind chill or the roads, but I'm thinking its both.

Its 4 degrees here (without windchill) and supposed to have a "high" of -16 tonight..add that to our 5 freakin' feet and I can't wait to move back to FL this summer LOL. Here's my new favorite picture!

PLEASE send snow to MA. Its has only snowed 3 times so far. 1", 1" & 4". Winter is not supposed to be about looking at dead brown stuff. Its supposed to be pretty white snow on the trees. And a constant white dusting to freshen up the dirty snowbanks.

I swear our snowplow drivers are chomping at the bit. They've actually come out & plowed each of those storms. Friday night, they were here ALL NIGHT for a freakin' 4" wimpy storm. I didn't get any sleep between the plows & snowblowers they were using to do the condo driveways. I wanted to go out there & yell at them....its ONLY 4".

I just KNOW this area is going to be screaming water shortage/drought this spring.

At least we finally got down to winter temps. 70 degrees at beginning of January is just soooooo wrong. The trees were even starting to bud.

That is hard core! I wouldn't let my ds's out today, it was just too cold -25 with the windchill. They both had ear infections within the last 2 weeks.

No school for ds tomorrow! He can sleep in. I love snow days!!

It was 9 degrees here, but I wasn't going to argue with them about sledding since I KNEW they wouldn't last long. They were back within 45 minutes and stayed inside the rest of the day LOL. They are already planning a rematch against the snow tomorrow since there is no school..we'll see how they fare then LOL.

I just drove through Stockbridge on my way home from Detroit about a week ago. Have you been to Williamston lately? Unfortunately, lots of empty storefronts on Grand River.

Stay warm fellow Michiganders!!! We have had our precious goddaughter, Alyssa, with us this weekend. We are taking her home to the Detroit area this afternoon. She is a beautiful blonde, 10 year old with Down Syndrome. She is my 7th "grandchild".

While the wind chill is below 0, the snow is blowing, and the furnace is kicking on frequently, I am thinking about my next cruise on the Disney Magic this October. Picturing myself at Castaway Cay soaking up the sun's rays is keeping me smiling and warm!!!

I haven't been thru Williamston in a while. We have family that lives in Fowlerville but when we go to there house they are on this side of I-96 so we take the side rds. It is sad that alot of stores are closing.

Be safe driving your granddaughter home. We have 4 grandchildren & possibly #5 on the way. I know how wonderful it is to have grandchildren.

Dewitt (Lansing area) checking in here. Not much snowfall, but blowing snow drifts of the 2-3 inches we received. I hate the windchill even more. We're suppose to be in the -15 - -25 degree range. I went shopping yesterday without the kids (safety reasons) to hunker down for a few days.

I'm also dreaming of WDW and Hawaii these past 2 days. Sitting here with coffee thinking of the warm sun on the beach or me on the lanai feeling warm breezes coming in from the Pacific.

Then I hear the arctic winds howling against the house.

Stay indoors and safe everyone! I can't wait until April when we get that first hint of warmer weather to come.

Man, I'm cold just reading your posts!!!
I'm originally from IL, but live in TN now.....we had a snow day on Friday.
ALMOST 3 inches!!!
Hey, I'm not arguing, I NEEDED the day off, but c'mon....this whole town panics at the thought of snow! I remember growing up out in the country and the snow drifting off the tops of the sheds!! This area doesn't know what SNOW is, or what it can do!

No school here today. I really need to get out. I've been stuck in the house with the kids for 3 days now. Live in Holland close to the lake and it hasn't stopped snowing since..... I don't know when. Wednesday I think.

For those of you who want this stuff, it's all yours. I can't wait for it to leave. Is it spring yet?
