We visited WDW for the first time last June and stayed for cash (I know renting is cheaper but my mom wouldn't even think about it) at the BCV in a 2-bedroom for nine glorious days. We had a vacation of a lifetime. I did not know it at the time, but my mom had talked to a DVC rep. at the BC about DVC! After a month or so home, we began talking about it. I ordered her the DVD through the website and a DVC rep. called her re: her interest. Next thing we know we receive this awesome Dream book (once you have seen it, you will not be able to refuse becoming a member) and the next thing I know, my parents want to buy into AKV asap!!!!!!
We are visiting the Doorway to Dreams in Woodfield tomorrow to see the AKV model and get some last minute questions answered. I know there was a big event a couple of weeks ago in Woodfield, but my parents were out of town during that entire weekend. Darn my brother for living in Alaska!!! It would have been nice to win something, though!
I have a couple of questions for the DIS experts before we go tomorrow:
1. Is it rude to talk to someone at Woodfield, but keep our original DVC contact? What if we like the person in Woodfield better, is it rude not to give our business to our original contact?
2. Which is a better guide to have in the future--someone in Florida or someone at Woodfield? I have read some posts re: people and their guides--is this someone who you always deal with for future vacations?
3. Are there any better incentives being offered at the Doorway to Disney location vs. our original contact?
Thanks in advance. Did I mention that I cannot get DVC out of my head????????????
