hey there! joining in! We will be there the same time! We're there april 26-may 3. maybe we'll bump into each other! Can't wait to hear more!

I second Dana's comments on Alice. Overall it is a great and interesting film. Not to be a spoiler but there are a couple of spots that made Josie a teensy bit scared-there's a scene where the mouse stabs the eyeball of a monster dog-like creature and pulls it out and then the scene where Alice has to cross over the heads that have been cut off by the red Queen is a bit creepy. Josie covered her eyes twice I think but after the movie was over she raved about how much she loved it. As long as you think he can handle stuff like that you will probably be okay.

Congrats on your adult only weekend!

Sounds like a nice little getaway!!!! And I'll also say that I felt completely safe on Soarin. Sam didn't make the height requirement. It was Lizzie that just made it and that extra strap was great! They were very secure. So as long as he just makes the height he'll be safe! Sam reached the 40 inch mark a few months ago so we are all ecstatic. No more sitting out on the bench with Sam! She's actually at 42 right now, the darn kid grew 3 inches this year:goodvibes

I am sorry guys...I have been trying to get caught up on other threads (not doing well in that department either...but, getting there) I feel so ADD lately...I think it is just hitting me that I am throwing this Disney trip together...

I still need to finish our plan for the week!

I want to start a packing list: I had a really good one last year so I may go back to my old thread and just copy that one...
Ashton and I went out last week and bought new Disney treats for his potty reward box and I also picked up a few things for his ride in the car along with some glow sticks. I wish I would have bought some glow necklaces so I believe this will be on our list of pickups...if I think about it I will get a few pictures of the stuff we did find; we found alot of great Disney finds at Michael's, Party City, and Dollar Tree.

more later...

:welcome: (Is it, Jennifer or Keala?!?)Thanks for joining me in my planning!

I need to remember to make a mickey head so we can find one another while we are there! I had thought of trying to plan a meet but the only other PTR that I'm following at the moment does not show us being in the same place at the same time :confused3

Have you started a PTR?!? where are you guys staying, while you are there? If we do bump into one another be sure to stop us and say hello! I am hoping to meet some dis buddies, I was too new last year to even think about it!

You are getting so close to your time to go. I'm jealous.

I don't know if you would want to take Ashton to see Alice or not. There were parts in the movie that were pretty intense and scary. Dallas covered his eyes a couple of times. The visual effects was amazing, but some were kinda graphic, gory wise. I would highly recommend the movie otherwise.
Hey Dana! I know I am getting so nervous about the trip even to the point...last night I looked at Danny and said maybe we should not be going...he just laughed he knows better than to say ANYTHING to that one! :lmao:

Thanks! to you both for the review...Joe and I were talking about it this morning! I was thinking of taking the kids tomorrow...but, I will let Chloe's mom decide if she wants her to see it. The scenes you mention sound a bit much but I'm sure Ashton will do the same and just put it out of his mind and focus on the more memorable scenes...I'll see

I'm happy to know about the extra strap that does make me feel better. I'm so happy to know that we won't have to worry about parent swap this go round although it's not so bad with Gwendolyn and Joe joining us.

OT: again sorry but had to share

Man, that was a lot of good news to share! I took all of Lacey's senior pictures myself. We went to a local park and took about 100 of them. When I took them to get them copied, they made me show them the picture before they'd let me copy them. They thought I was trying to copy professional pictures. Saved me about $350.00!

at the moment cleaning laundry
and trying to plan an impromtu trip to Nashville TN, the school Dayne wants to attend is there and having a campus tour and scholarship test this weekend...I have not been to Nashville since I was in grade school...we are trying to decide if we should leave eary Friday morning or send Dayne to school and leave when he gets home (it is an excused absence for traveling to visit schools).

not wanting to spend a whole lot of Disney money and not wanting to be too cheap

I was excited talking with him about all this last night; but, woke up this morning upset realizing that my baby (and he has always been my baby) is talking about going off and he is way to young! he can't even eat without my pushing him to do so...he will either starve or he will gain weight if the food is good...suppose to be AYCTE in the school cafeteria...

I can totally relate to your worries about your baby moving away. I was stressed out big time when Lacey moved over 9 hours away. All I could think of was "who's going to take care of her?". Well, she's made it pretty good on her own and she hasn't starved to death yet. I am sure Dayne will be okay too.

I've never been to Nashville so I can't give you any ideas on where to stay. I usually look for hotels at hotels.com.

Lisa I knew you would be able to relate! It helps that Leanne and Joe are only 45 min away in case of an emergency until the 8 hours it would take me to get there. Still far from home...I really thought Baton Rouge was going to be the furthest he would go.

Wednesday at Epcot will be our last day of Disney Magic...depending how the day goes I'm hoping we can hop at some point over to MK...but, we don't do that until we see everything that is on our list for Epcot

must do's
Soarin'
Nemo and the Seas
Figment
Germany's train garden
Norway
Mexico
Test Track
Mission Space (for Danny) and the play area for Ashton
Ellen's energy ride
and Spaceship Earth
oh and I can't forget at some point the character connection

things to hit if the lines are not bad
The Land (I really enjoy this ride/but not a must do)
Honey I Shrunk the Audience (another thing we all enjoy but not a must do)
I would like to walk through World Showcase but I don't think we will be stopping for walk throughs of many of the country's--this is the tortue part of the trip for Danny when I start with the country's :confused3

I would love to hit Fantasyland and POTC before the night is over but we will have to see how things play out!

I would like to end with Wishes! and the castle I think that would be a fun way to end for Ashton...

When we wake up bright and early this day...we will be leaving
but, moving on for another level of fun!

we normally do this part of our trip first but this year we have decided to do Universal and IOA last!
THE EXCITING PART OF THIS TRIP FOR ME IS WE HAVE DECIDED TO STAY ON THE GROUNDS! WE ARE STYAING AT THE ROYAL PACIFIC RESORT! :yay:
I currently have two nights and two rooms booked...trying to decide if we are going to keep them both or only stay one night and try and drive about two/three hours Friday night:confused3

as of now we are not investing in the hopper passes so I'm sure we will start with Universal Studios as park one the hours this day are 9 am - 6 pm...I could have sworn I read somewhere about EMH but now I can not find anything :confused3...it is also grad nights on the weekend...so I guess we will be spending the evening enjoying their wonderful resort and Citywalk!

must do's for Ashton and I this year will be the
Barney show (he does not always want to sit and watch him on TV but I believe he will get a kick to see him in person)
the animal show
and the Woody woodpecker section of the park (they have a small coaster like the Barnstormer)
he was too short for the Nick ride last year so I can't wait to share this one with him...

I just wish he could have ridden MIB; but, still too short :rolleyes1

SEE THE UGLY SHARK...CHECK OUT ASHTON'S FACE IN THE PIC W/DANNY  this is in line for the Earthquake ride

I did not do a good job last year w/pictures, with all the rain...I just hated taking it out..I am hoping to have wonderful beautiful dry weather and lots and lots of pictures...

Hi Connie! I hope you make it to Nashville this weekend. If you can find a few minutes, I'd love to meet up! I might have a few goodies for Dayne and Danny that I can pass along. :goodvibes

Joe and I can be to Dayne within 45 minutes if anything ever comes up. If the food is horrendous we might even be able to hook him up with some good food to tide him over. :goodvibes Let me know how I can help! I'd check Orbitz for some hotel accommodations. You can't go wrong staying close to Opry Mills. It's probably much cheaper to stay in the suburbs of Nashville and just drive in. Parking is pricing in the downtown area. If you decide to leave town on Friday morning maybe we can meet for dinner Friday night. Just a thought...:goodvibes

Is Dayne itching for the year to be over? I am glad to hear his wrist is healing well! Fun trip to Nashville--such a great city. I hope you have a great time!!

Love Epcot!! Universal/IOA never been but I will be looking forward to reading about it!!

YAY for paying off graduation stuff! I know that can be a lot.

Your plans for Epcot and US sound great. So, did Randy sway you to RPR in anyway?

Randy's pictures have made my decision set in stone for me...but, what brought me over was the 49% off pin we received (Lisa-mickeystoontown, and Danny both had one)...without I would have just ooooogglled Randy's pix's from afar...it was suppose to be a surprise for Dayne but he heard me talking to Danny about the express pass..we can use it as many times for all rides except the new Harry Potter attractions...those you can only use once in day! (if it is open)
