Hey, Connie! Just thought I'd let you know that when I went to pick Mitchell up from daycare yesterday, UP was on! They said he had not moved from his spot since they put the movie in - he was absolutely glued to it.

AND - this morning on the way to daycare he was talking about scenes from UP and how funny it was. Soooo, I think I will be keeping the movie and giving it to him for Christmas! It worked out just fine. Glad I waited!

Hope you all are having a really wonderful day. :cloud9:

Mel, I hope that the UP characters are still in the Animation Building at Hollywood Studios. Mitchell would love them!

Oh, Wow! I didn't know they were in there! We saw Bolt back in March and that was really neat. I'll DEFINITELY have to check it out. Thanks for the info.

Tell me, do they do Spectro in Magic Kingdom every day or just on certain days now? Someone on another thread implied that they didn't do it every day. Also, how do I find out which days they do Fantasia in Hollywood Studios?

Mel, you can pull up the calendar on the WDW site or even on here...if you go to the main dis page they have a calendar section with park hours / EMH hours, parades, and FW shows...but, all of that is also on the WDW site calendar...

Glad that worked out with the "Up" DVD!

Isn't that great about UP??? :woohoo: I didn't want to have to take it back, and it is a Disney movie, so it was as much for me as it was for Mitchell! :rolleyes1

Hey! everyone!!!

We finally went to storytime at the Library today! :yay: they both did very well!
unitl she put on a Thanksgiving movie and I quietly walked to the side to look over the books to borrow. Ashton "freaked" not loud or real bad; but, pale and panicked!
They did a craft (Gwendolyn surprised us just in the nick of time to help)...
we will def. be adding that to our Tuesday morning routine! :yay: can't wait to see how they react when we bring back the books we borrowed. Ashton & I are sitting quiet watching "Up" (Gwendolyn & Joe borrowed it from Netflix--I still need to purchase it).

Ginny~ Gwendolyn puts all her stuff in my closet too! Since she moved back home she has been placing things in the attic! Currently she has two boxes that need to go up there now...no telling what I will find when I clean it out... I do know that I held on to all my scrubs and I don' think I will be needing those again so I really should pass those on...when ever I clean out that black hole.
a January cruise...:yay: Oh boy! we are going to have to start some planning! :yay:

Dana~ two or three different sausages(I like to do smoke and mild italian) sliced in half than at an angle about 1.5"(or I slice I will just slice the whole sas at the angle) w/three different bell peppers and one red onion (sliced julliene style) sauteed in olive oil...serve w/ small pistolettes....

BLT dip w/ salty ridge style chips- sm jar mayo (blue plate is the best for this one), sm container of sour cream, one jar of real bacon bits, top with chopped tomatoes and lettuce shreds....

Quick and easy spinach & artichoke dip served with tortillias- one frozen box or 16 oz bag of spinach, one sm jar of marnit.artichokes, one cup sour cream, one box cream cheese, 1/2 sm block of pepper jack cheese, small onion, tbs of garlic, season to taste garlic powder, salt, and pepper--thaw spinach in micowave in papertowels (wring out excess water), in bowl place cream cheese, pepperjack block melt in micro or on stove top (I do it on the stove top--I saute my onion and garlic and add everything step by step) melt cheese, add chopped artich & marinade, spinach, sourcream, and season to taste...serve hot w/ chips

Pasta salad--boiled rigatoni pasta (tricolor--boil in chicken broth w/ a little garlic powder or garlic salt), 1# smoke sausage(sliced), 1 red onion, 1 red bell pepper, 1 green bell pepper, 1 head of brocolli (cut into small pieces), 1pk cooked peeled shrimp (I like to quick boil in crab boil/and salt for flavor), one bottle of italian salad dressing, top w/parmesan cheese or cheese shavings, salt and pepper to taste...
I have a really fast quick jambalaya casserole recipe if you want that one too let me know!

Leanne~ I don't know what I'll do about Ashton when he starts school for nap time...hopefully they allow quiet time with a movie (like the Kindergarten did when Dayne went)...I need to start looking for a half day program for him for next year...I have found two full day programs (the local catholic school and Headstart program--but, I am not interested in him going all day...I want something where he can go a half day four days a week...I'm really asking for a lot. The local Toddlearn program is two days a week from 8-12 so far this is the one I think I am going with! To me its just for him to learn to seperate from me and be in a classroom situation before a full day of Kindergarten...we do pre-k homeschool now.

Hope everyone had a wonderful day and has a great evening!
Its our first cooolldd one of the year!!! we are suppose to get down to about 38 tonight! we were only in the low 60's all day!! but it will be in the 80's or raining next Thursday (because that is how we always have a holiday in New Orleans :lmao: )

It was so cold here today. 37 was the high. We are supposed to get snow showers tomorrow. So far the cheapest cruise I found was the Norwegian Spirit from NO on 1/17. An outside room with my points would be $538 tax and all for the two of us. It goes to Costa Maya (been there) Guatamala (not Roatan tho, so it's a new place), Belize (which I love) and Cozumel (which is #1 in my book). So I don't mind any of those places. I actually could use more sea days but I will survive. I'm taking all my figures home to Don tonite to see what he thinks.

The cruise sounds like alot of fun!
I hope ya'll don't get any snow this weekend...Dayne is headed that way. He leaves Thursday but I can't tell you where yet all I know at the time is MO! Todd's grandparents live in MO; so they are going to spend a few days with them before Thanksgiving, I think they are coming home Mon or Tue but again I don't have any info...I was finally able to get a phone number for Todd's mom so I plan to call her tonight to get all the info.

Let me know where he is going when you find out.

I want no snow either. I want summer back.

Don says that is over in the bootheel.

Sheri is taking Austin to Cancun. If he takes friends Mike will go with her and if he doesn't it will just be her and him. I would rather go to Disney.

my dad wants to take Dayne on a cruise/as a graduation gift...I told Dayne that him, my dad, Danny, Dayne's friend Todd, Nick and their two dads should go on a cruise...bet they would have a blast!

Hi Connie! I wish Kindergarten was a half day here but it isn't so I guess I just have to suck it up. Josie doesn't mind being at daycare all day (she has been there since she was 6 weeks old so it's very familiar). The whole nap thing is what will get her in trouble.

Hope you have fun planning Dayne's Senior trip! How's his car doing by the way?

Kindergarten is a full day here, too.
Dayne's sr trip--I just mentioned that cruise again--he wants to do both. Boy the boy is dreaming...:lmao:

His car:rotfl: ordered a new clutch...:rolleyes1

put it up on the rack took the old one off...:rolleyes1

and the shaft was cracked...well he did not want to order just the shaft he wanted several cables too! so I made him wait until he got paid Friday (I know I am a very mean mom--I would have ordered the shaft but not all the other stuff--the shipping at mustangrestoration is $14.95 for anything you order no matter how much you order--so I made him wait) should be coming in tomorrow...That will be Danny's project Saturday--as Dayne is going to MO for the weekend:thumbsup2. Danny said he is going to start charging him for his time:rotfl2:--but the carb is doing Great! I really hope this is the last of everything until he is ready to buy his new engine...
thanks for asking!

These sound so delicious!!!! My niece Stephanie is going to help me with the party so we will get together and see which of these she wants to do. The pasta salad sound so good, I think I will do that for Tyler and I for dinner one night. They all sound really easy so that makes them even better :thumbsup2.

I must be a meanie too because I would have made him wait too. :rotfl: Sorry the clutch, shaft, and cables are having issues. I'm happy that the carb has worked well though! Danny's sure spent enough time on Dayne's car lately. I hope this is the last for a while too. :goodvibes

Danny really messed up when he bought the car (he knows that now) oh well!
the car looked good; sounded good; but did not know that it did not run good!:confused3

I think this was Danny's project car...and what a project it is...
it really needs a new engine but Dayne wants a performance engine that I'm not willing to help him with -- so, it will probably be after he graduates and he can save up some money for it...he wants to redo the entire car! he should have kept his truck, saved his money and bought a new one!:confused3 that's what I would've done (but I'm a girl--I'm told:rotfl2: )

I told Dayne to take it to a car show and sell it! and start over...with something newer but Danny said they are just about finished

whatever...

I know how you feel about Ashton starting kindergarten. I remember Amanda and Tyler's first day like it was yesterday. Amanda went to half day and Tyler went full day. The reason Tyler went full day is because Amanda was in first grade and they went to a private school and the cost was actually the same either way. Dallas has always been homeschooled so I didn't have the trauma of leaving him. It was much harder on me that it was on them :sad2:.

I homeschooled Gwendolyn (7-9 grades) and Dayne (3-5 grades). Danny told me I can not homeschool Ashton; but, we were not able to find any groups we were comfortable with...where there are a lot more groups around here now. But, the last few days I have been feeling like we need a break from one another...(you get out w/a job away from home--I don't have that) So, I think we are going the private school route when it comes time in Aug '11. I really enjoyed the HS experience but they enjoyed the social aspect of school (I know if we would have a found a good group it would have ended different).
