WE FINALLY BOOKED OUR 2010! DISNEY RETURN!!! Dayne has requested that we go on his Sr. spring break!! It just so happens to fall on what is suppose to be a low crowd time in WDW We are leaving Sat April 24 and returning home May 1...we are

We were suppose to return in Nov 2010; but, we Dayne has requested we go again when he can join us. So, we were than trying to plan the last week of May (before Memorial Day--to join some of our disser friends) but, Dayne's Sr trip is that week. So, we have decided to go the last week of April--due to testing LA has decided to try something new with their spring break this year; this was also reported to be a slow week (one of the slowest of the year) but, it seems to be picking up according the the UG CC.

So, I hope you join us in the planning...as this PTR was started a good time back I hope you use my table of content to guide you through the chatter and join me at the end for some planning!

For those of you joining that have not met me and my family this past year let me start with introductions:

First, there is me, Connie 41, I'm the Disney addict!!! I could live there if they let me. But, I also love to visit other places around the country
DH, Danny 44,he is our beach bum; he would move to the coast if it were not for his ailing dad and of course his job!
DD-Gwendolyn 21,she is currently a college SR. (but on a five year path); she doesn't talk about traveling but if we don't include her she would be soooooo diappointed
DDbf - Joe 23, retired marine; currently living w/us as he is building a home
DS - Dayne 17, a HS Sr. and at the point he just does not know what he wants to do ; he too rolls his eyes and teases that I'm addicted. But, guess where he wants to go on his Sr. trip.... you guessed it WDW!!!
and DS - (for now we will call him) Peter Pan 3, loves everything Disney, dinosaurs, and safari animals...just the sweetest little man I could have possibly been surprised with
(my current dis friends know our little man/but we'll start with a nickname till a later time)

WE ALSO HAVE A NEW TAG ALONGS: Dayne has invited his friend, Luke. This is Luke's first visit to WDW and US/IOA (we had planned a trip with his parents back in 2002--but, his sister was killed in a car accident about three months before and the trip did not take place).

Hi Connie - count me in! I chose CBR and December 5th - solely on the fact that that is where we are headed and will be there this year on Dec 6th. I have never been to CBR but I think it has a little bit of everything for your family - the beach for your husband (he can lounge on the hammocks) and the NEW kiddie Pirate Pool should be right up "Peter Pan"'s alley!

Looking forward to seeing where this goes

Hey girl, I am joining in. I voted for Janurary only because it will get here sooner . I think a trip in November would be fun, because you can make it a Christmas trip. I am hoping we can go at Christmas this year.

I meant January 2010!!1 I would love this one!!; because it is so close. But, don't think it will happen. As Danny said we have to go to the beach BEFORE our next Disney tripa girl can dream and hope can't she!!

I figured I would start a PTR; with a couple of the ones we chat on about to end; this one should last us for quite sometimethat and I could not sleep last night!!

I hope ya'll are able to fit in a Christmas trip this year. If I know Danny we will probably do either the Nov or Dec trip because of the Christmas decorations and I have been saying for three years I want to see it. Although, Danny and the older kids want to do Universal for Halloween one year so Sept is pretty close in the running!! It will be hard to decide.

MY PLAN FOR NOW IS THIS:
TO LISTEN TO ALL THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF MY DIS PALS...
THAN sit with Danny and make a decision. I do think in October I am going to book two rooms. somewhere just so I can start paying on them. I can always swtich to a package and a different resort after we make a decision.!!!

SO, I'M HOPING Dana will bring back all sort of info about POP incase we need to go value--ASSp was nice it was just crowded and noisy--but, our room was very quiet, comfortable and very nice!!! for as long as you are in a room.

I am also hopping to hear about the park experience for each of the weeks we have chosen....Jen (Dec.)is going during one of those weeks and Dana (Sep) another., Heather is also going in Sep...BUT I AM HOPPING LURKERS WILL COME OUT AND SHARE ALONG WITH US!!!!

AND i WANT TO PLAN SOME DINING THIS GO ROUND!!!!

I had a CM tell me not to count the days; it would take forever to pass if I did...

but, you know I did!!! it was the worse between 30 and 15 days out after that it flew by...

I chose Sept because of free dining and CSR for the queen size beds.
This Sept will be me and DH's second trip at that time in two years. It is also our anniversary. Yes, it was kind of hot but there were hardly any waits. We did ASSp last year and are doing ASMo this year to save money but I really hope to get to CSR one of these times.
Only 34 days left for me!

I voted Jan 30 2010 and POFQ.

I think in Sept you have a high chance of a TON of rain. Dec of 2010 will be BUSY! That leaves Nov or Jan. I voted Jan cause you get back sooner. (unless you met Jan of 2011 in that case I change my vote to nov )

and yes, I meant Jan 2010 but in reality I don't think Danny will let me swing that one...THAT IS MY VOTE!!! after that I don't know which one to go with...
I do wonder about Sept and tropical weather; I am watching to see what the tropics do this year and going back to see when it stopped in 2005/2006. Being from LA it is usually NOW - till about the middle to Sept. But, I do remember going all the way to the beginning of Oct before.

Hi Connie! I voted for Dec 5 and POFQ. The size of it is nice. We enjoyed our stay there. If you get the wrong building at CBR in the winter it might be a booger. It would be so cool if you got to go in January 2010.

I'm hoping to have fun with this thread and just let it evolve as we go...

Thank you for your vote...I just don't know when I would pick out of the three, yet!!!

I think I would pass out if Danny said let's just go ahead and go in January. I probably should not have listed but that would be awesome.

Danny wants to stay at POFQ, but I would like to try CBR or CSR. POP is if I need to get two rooms (the difference for a value and mod for all the dates is about $300 difference per room for 5 nts--that's almost three 5day tickets! ). I have heard on other threads that POP has its own busses unlike the allstar resorts. just wonder about the noise level; although the dates I have listed should be slow times.

So, I am hoping that everyone will share their opinion and we can discuss things to help Danny and I make a magicial decision

and let's just have some disney fun!!!!

Hi again

We wanted to take our DD for her birthday this year, but my mom was quick to warn me that we would be going during peak Hurricane season - her birthday is Sept 6. I had nothing else to go by, so I chose the slow early December that I had gone before.

I would hate to:
A. get stuck in the rain trying to enjoy our trip
B. get stuck in our hotel room due to an actual Hurricane
C. get stuck in an airport somewhere...

I know I may be over processing this, and i know it can rain any time, but I feel that we made the right choice by switching our dates.

Happy to be on board this evolving train!

hmm I guess Dec 5 wouldn't be too busy yet. It's also only the week after Nov 28th. lol Not much difference probably. I'd check and see when Thanksgiving is next year. If it's really close to Nov 28th then I'd go in Dec.

I wouldn't want to risk going in Sept- it could still be pretty hot and very wet. When we were there end of Oct 2004 for our honeymoon they were still cleaning up from Hurricane somethign or other. Of course Nov/Dec you risk it being cold BUT it could also be beautiful.
