We are planning to go to WDW next year sometime in the fall. :cool1: We will have 3 kids DS7, DS2 and DD1. DS7 who has special needs we are completely fine with taking out of school so that's not even a factor. Our number 1 problem is he doesn't sweat so his body can't regulate it's temperature well. We have been in Oct and I only remember it being REALLY hot one day and he did have a small seizure that day because of the heat. It was in the beginning and we are now a lot more aware and can watch for the signs better. So my question is when does it get cooler? Is the beginning of November much better than Oct? We were thinking of going the 13-20th of October but if it is a huge difference in November we will go then. Thanks in advance for your help.

I've never been there in the Fall. We are going the first week in Dec. and from what I've been told the temps can range from 80 highs to 60 highs. Wish I could help more. Anyhow, whenever you decide to go...I'm sure you'll have a Great time!!

 My favorite time of year at WDW is in the 2nd week of November, right between Halloween and Thanksgiving . November was cool & comfortable with almost no-one there. We haven't been back in the fall for a long time because I can't seem to co-ordinate my kids sports & school schedules with DH's job, sigh, still it was an awsome time to visit.

Have fun :thumbsup2

PS just out of curriosity, wouldn't a spray fan misting bottle help him regulate his body temp? I know that probably sounds moronic but I was just wondering.

It does help some but if it's going to be in the 90's for the entire 7 days I just don't think it will be enough. I am going to talk to DH about November. Thanks for your help.

The coolest, least crowded time is in January right after the new year. We went last Sept into Oct. and it was very hot then. You look up the average weather for Orlando. THen, you will get an idea. Also, Sept - Nov. is peak Hurricane season. We got lucky last year going in Sept. Again - I believe January is the cheapest, coolest and one of the least crowded times. Good Luck!

Another vote for January.

I went in November once and it wasn't too bad. I think it got up to 84. But next time we plan, I think we're going for the 2nd week of January.

There's a trip planner on weatherunderground.com You can tell it different weeks for Orlando and it will give you a history of the weather for that week.

I have been the last week of October and it was WAY TOO HOT! Went another time mid November (14ish) it was much cooler. Our personal favorite is the end of April. We have been twice and the weather was PERFECT and the crowds were light.

All the way into October it is hot. December through February are your best bets for cooler weather. November can see 80's regularly but it is pleasant late in the month. December is noticeably cooler.

End of April could be very crowded. depending on Easter and Spring Breaks. I love the spring weather though!

We were there this past Feb when the Orlando area was experiencing RECORD lows! We are from a mountainous area, so we aren't afraid of cold. However, we came prepared for winter in Orlando, not winter in the Blue Ridge Mtns! We rarely broke a sweat, and there were hardly any lines!
