Hi all, I called and was able to switch an upcoming trip to AKV Jambo in a One bedroom Standard. I know that the 1 bedrooms at Jambo do not have an extra bathroom, but do they have the sleeper chair?

When I booked it the CM stated that you can book the five people in the room but they won't provide bedding. Well I am a bit confused because I thought they had the sleeper chair so we would get bedding for five right? Do I have to bring sheets for that chair?

She got it wrong didn't she? I didn't question it because I was so excited to get the Standard category and save points for our next trip!

Thanks

Only the Values in Jambo House don't have a sleeper chair. The Standard View will have one.

The CM you spoke to was incorrect. The standard 1BR will have the sleeper chair and it will have bedding.

Thank you both! One less thing I need to worry about! Sounds great! Does anyone have a floor plan of the one bedrooms at Jambo. I understand they are different than Kidani.

Here's the Jambo 2-bedroom lock-off. The Studio is on the right.

I know there are plans around but the best I have are a couple of pictures. Ignore the brown lift chair - that's an add on for us. ;)

The door in the center goes back to the Master BR and the bathroom.

The hallway and laundry at end. The bathroom is the door to the left and the Master is to the right. It could be reversed of course in some rooms if the layout is flipped.

The bath/shower combo. There isn't a separate shower.

But two sinks! The door you see is the room for the toilet.

I spoke w/ a CM this a.m. and he also said there was no bedding for the chairs.

There's bedding for the chair, I speak from experience :cool1:
Enjoy your trip!

:) DH wants to know how to get the lift chair. :worship:

KAT4DISNEY: In your last photo there are two chairs in the living room. Did the orange chair come from the master bedroom?

I think that that is the sleeper chair. At least that is what the sleeper chair in room in Kidani looked like.

We rent it from Care Medical. It's pretty slick if you need one. They deliver to the room and pick it up once you've checked out.

So what is the brown chair then?

I mentioned above the first picture to disregard that piece of furniture as it's an add-on. It's a lift chair that we rent for my mother. And the orange chair is the sleeper chair that is normally in the living room. They are too darn efficient so I never get a picture of the room without it when she's along.

Thanks so much for the pictures. They were great. We are going to be in a two bedroom in May. DH does not like the idea of not having a separate shower, but he is going to have to live with it. Where was your room located. I need some ideas on a room request in regard to a good savanna and possibly closer to the pool. Again, great pictures.

I don't get it -- why would they provide a sleeper chair and tell you that you can accomodate 5 people in the room and then not provide the bedding? That doesn't make sense. I'd go with what other members are telling you from experience -- that there is bedding for the sleeper chair. However, I'd check as soon as you get into your room and call housekeeping if you can't find it. You don't want to be worrying about that at the end of a long day.

Have a wonderful trip!

Been out of town so just getting back to this. Our room was actually concierge and we had a pool side view so I can't help a lot with the savannah view request. The Zebra Trail should keep you closer to the pool than if you ended up on the Kudu Trail. For what you list I'd probably request Zebra Trail with Arusha Savanna view but maybe someone who had a great savanna view near the pool will chime in. :)
