We are NOT getting our Magical Express Mail

We booked our first trip to Disney World in August. We leave next Wednesday and received a packet from Disney about a month ago that had coupons and copies of our reservations. We read that they would be sent seperately, so we didn't sweat it. Finally, last Friday DH called Disney and they said it was sent, however we never received it. So they said they would send it again. We still didn't get it, so DH called Disney again today and they told us that they don't know what happened but we will NOT received the Magical Express tags in time.

They told us to just put our luggage on the plane and when we get off, take our luggage voucher to the Disney counter and they will take it from there.

I'm afraid that it will take even longer to get our luggage or we might not get it at all.

What should we do?
 
This past January I misplaced our ME envelope. I called them but, was told I wouldn't get another set in time. We did what you were told and had no problems with our luggage at all. Obviously, you may want to pack some stuff that you think you may need in case your luggage takes a bit (which it can with or without the proper tags).
And, of course, I found the envelope 2 weeks after our return. :rolleyes:
You should be fine but, if you are nervous, gather your luggage from baggage claim and take it with you on ME.

They usually won't mail out another DME packet if it is 10 days or less before your trip. 10 days seems to be the cut off point for getting them to replace or correct the DME packet. As was mentioned you can take your claim check tickets to the DME counter and they will collect your bags.
 

Thanks. It makes me feel a little more comfortable to know that we're not alone. I can guarantee that DH will prefer to get our luggage ourrselves and bring it to the ME. He doesn't trust anyone.
 
This happened to us a few years ago... they stated that their computers went down and i don't remember quite what happened but i think they mailed it out because we called... i dunno. but i remember it happened to us.
 
Three of us traveled together this past September. Two of us did not get our ME tags and one did. Well we stopped at the ME counter, gave them the luggage tag info.

Well the two of us that didn't have the tags got our luggage in record time. The one who did have the tag had to call and find out where it was. It was delivered to our room at 1:04AM.
 
This is a miracle. Our Magical Express tickets arrived today via UPS. We leave tomorrow morning, so we are completely SHOCKED but THRILLED.

Now we don't have to worry about it. Yippee!:banana:
