Hello fellow INCREDIBLES! I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. I had a great week of fun, shopping and running. I ran another half Thanksgiving morning just for fun and ended up finishing in 1:59, so all in all a great week of running. I was BEAT by Sunday though between cooking all day after my race on Thursday and getting up at 2am for Black Friday so I took a much needed rest day yesterday and went be back to the training schedule today. I felt good at the gym this morning so I think it was the right decision. Thanks to all of you for the words of encouragement and support
Veronica - That is a HUGE Turkey Trot! While I am sure your DD was not thrilled, how proud you must be that she is a true runner now
Lindsay - Good luck with both the training and the weight loss!
Susie - you are superwoman when it comes to races, I am in awe. It sounds like your Thanksgiving race was a ton of fun
I can't wait to run races with my kids.
I wouldnt normally run a full-out race in the middle of training for another race, but I really wanted to fulfill a time goal that I had set and I knew that wasn't going to happen in January. I also wanted to see how I did with two races close to each other - thus the two half's in 4 days. I am doing Higdon Intermediate-I so I run a mid-distance run on Saturday of about half the LR on Sunday. I am not sure if I should increase the milage for a few of my remaining Saturdays to be more than half of the next day or just stick with the plan.
Lisa - Congrats on starting your Princess training! You are going to do great. I have done Bingham twice for fulls and I like his plans. I haven't done Galloway before, but I am thinking of trying it for next year's full, I like the idea of the run/walk intervals but I am not going to do the milage over 20 or 22 miles - too much for me.
Kathy - good luck with the training, hopfully you won't have to use the gym too much.
