Had a fantastic time, are we on a downer being home? YES! lol
We landed home on monday morning after a flight from hell, we flew home on Island lady, funny thing is the plane had only landed at 2:15pm that day and they refuelled and sent us back home on it, wonderwhere Honey Pie is? is this normal? anyway we took off and the seat belt signs stayed on for over 2hours everyone was needing the toilet, kids was screaming, and why? we had the worse turbulence ever, people was being sick everywhere and the cabin crew gave up and covered half of it up with virgin blankets (I am complaining),going to the toilet had to hurdle over it all as it was in the ailsles! YUK!

Did most of the parks:
Magic Kingdom = Wishes first time seeing this, loved every minute! Mickey's Philarmagic, Chelsea giggled laughed through every minute!! Mary & Ron and Charlie enjoyed themselves, but was a little drained with the heat! it has been very hot! and the first week hardly any rain!

Epcot = Mission Space killed Mart off! lol, he was ill afterwards! had to come home for an hr to get him back to normal, he did not like that!!!

MGM! = Chelsea rode the tower of terror along with mart, ron, mary and charlie, I chickened out! Got a picture of them all on, will upload once we move onto our new house! This is Mary and Ron's favourite park!! The kids did allthe rides, they was tall enough for, was really suprised with Chelsea she is a ride's fan!!

Did plenty shopping and spent a fortune, can anyone tell me if a U.S.A car stereo will work over here? as we have bought one, we did ask in the shop and they said it would?

Seaworld = LOVED MISTIFY there new firework show!! wonderful, mart rode Kracken twice after being wet through by the journey to atlantis with chelsea hehe!! Loved the dolphins and finally watched the dolphin show! never seen that before they was awesome, got wet through by shamu have great pics!!! LOL!!

Universal = first time ever here, never been before, hot hot hot and very busy when we went waited 95mins for shrek 4-d afterwards I came back to the hotel it was too much for me so mart and chelsea went back, and had a great time! Shrek was great!!!! a must see!!

Queues not too bad, seaworld was 5-10 mins for most ride, the longest was 20mins! Magic kingdown was around 35mins, Epcot wasnt bad around 10mins for rides! used fastpass alot too! in all the queues was alot better!! than what we havebeen through before.

Weather VERY VERY VERY HOT AND HUMID, alittle overbearing than normal, as they had hardly any rain or storms the first week or so, then they came has normal, hottest day if I can remember was 104f that was when we was at Universal studios!

Virgin flights well as you know, Oh when we landed back we had been allocated no steps and a gate we had to wait 30mins to receive steps and we was miles away from the terminal had to board a coach it was ridiculous! my suit case has been damaged! and had a bad experience with flight bags had to unload all my stuff and put them in the suitcases as it was too heavy!
Coming wasnt bad we was a little delayed that was because Honey Pie had experienced technical difficulties leaving orlando, dont know what happened, thats all the pilot said! the flights was ok, had better!!!!

Hotels, Quality inn international was ok, but the all star movie resort was fantastic!! will post pics of our room, why oh why though is there policy you can only get your room after 3pm? as we was waiting from 11am for our room? we ended up in toy story as we wanted, we faced Buzz light year! it was a lovely room on the 2nd floor! :) its been fantastic! really want to go back! had a magical holiday! but glad to be home and get our housing issues sorted!!!

Will post pics!!! hope everyone jetting off soon has a wonderful time :D

Beth!!

Welcome home Beth!

How bad was the Turbulence, it really scares me silly, I really dread being sick on a plane.

Were you ok???

Lynda

Hiya Beth,

Welcome home

Sounds like you've had a fantastic time...Cant wait to see the pics.

Hiya Lynda,

I was ok coming home, no sickness at all :) which I am proud of myself for, I just lay with my head in a pillow until it all stopped lol :) silly I know, but it helped, going to florida was sick once on landing, I wasnt that bad this time around, It scares me it was literally rocking side to side, then kept going down and then back up, it was scary no wonder so many people was sick it was like what one guy said "being at the fairground!" yuk!!!

Thanx Squitty will get them up a.s.a.p :D

Beth! x

Did you fly out of Manchester?

I know that they tend to swap around Island Lady and Honey Pie - when we went in April we flew in and out on IL.

The planes are the older type of 747, I think that the quality of service from Virgin has suffered over the years , however, I still beleive they are the best option.
I have never liked flying although I have been to Florida 10 times now, it would never put me off because we have such a good time - turbulence is horrid but it doesn't put us off going back ;-)

Yep we flew from manchester also, just was curious why we flew out and home, but now I know always thought it was one of each either way!
I agree the manchester planes are very neglected I don't like Honey Pie at all, seems a little worse for wear! not helped on by the fact she had suffered tech difficulties the day we flew out, groan!

I agree I am not the best flyer in the world but it does not put me off, its all worth it in the end! :) had a magical time out there, want to go back! :(

Hi Beth!

Glad you had a great time!! Flight sounds horrendous though!

One quick question for you, you say QII was "ok"......

We have booked this hotel for our first trip in October, can you give me some more feedback on it please!!

thanks,

Lorraine :Pinkbounc

Can't wait to see your photos of All Star Movies Beth!!

Was Chelsea surprised??!! Or had you told her by then?

Karen

Hi Lorraine,

QII was good, we have been there before though, wasnt impressed with the buffet breakfast I have to admit, but the dinner was ok, wasnt busy, room was nicer than the first time we stayed (have pics will try and get them up), We didnt get a pool side view we had asked for, but overall it is a very good hotel, M.I.L AND F.I.L came and stayed and they was impressed and quite pleased with our choice if I was to pick this hotel to most others I would pick the QII :) if that answers your question? :)

Hi Karen, we have a great picture of us leaving the QII and Chelsea thinking we was going home, believe me she was suprised beyond belief, when we arrived I pulled a note out we had written, and pretended it was from Mickey himself,
LOL sad I know but she was so made up and when she seen the hotel her little face was full of delight and anticipation, when we came home we did another little suprise, she had seen a american buzz light year in the world of disney so we bought her one and on the day of leaving at the airport we gave it her, she was so chuffed he's asleep with her as I type, she loved all star movies, would really love to go back, my brother is going in december he's never been, he seen the pics and was like a big kid :) LOL, wonderful hotel I would say it's like being in disney itself, its full of things to see etc!

What a fab hol *sighs* LOL....maybe next year? Um we will see! what is with this post-disney got to book again thing? LOL....

what is with this post-disney got to book again thing?
