We arrived after 14 hours on the road, but it was worth it :) We are in room 4029 boardwalk view until Friday when we head over to AKV. It is VERY HOT!!!! 96 degrees but they say it feels like 107-- and i agree!! But other than that everything is great! This is our first DVC trip so we are real excited. It is just my husband and I. I will try to post pics, but have never had my computer on vacation so not sure how often I will update.

The room is nice, everything seems well taken care of-- can't wait till our next trip to get a refurbed room! Check in was very smooth and friendly.

We are going to head over to EPCOT to get our annual passes and then probably grab some pizza-- taking it easy tonight :)

Glad you made it "home" safe. Enjoy your trip and look forward to your updates.

Have a great time and enjoy the pools as much as possible.

I know this is a little off topic but.......what grade do you teach?

Thanks everyone! Last night we ended up walking over to Epcot. Got our annual passes (DVC discount and with one of those discount cards)-- Great deal! Went into world showcase. Watched the "Beatles" group, got some fish and chips. Then walked around the resort a bit. I really LOVE BWV. My husband had been here before, but I have not so I am really impressed. Then watched the fireworks from our balcony!! Today heading off to DHS!

OH-- I teach 8th grade math! Love teaching but so happy it is summer vacation!

Wow awesome :thumbsup2 !!! Was that 14 hours from PA ? If you don't

mind my asking, whereabouts & what time did you leave ? We too drive

from NY and always are interested in learning about what other's

experiences/tips are for the road.

Have a great first DVC trip party: and look forward to reading more about

it :goodvibes

I read your "we leave tomorrow" post but didn't have time to post.

First of all, WELCOME HOME :flower3: I hope your first DVC stay is wonderful.

Your DVC vacation sounds fabulous; I wish I was there too. Our trip is coming up in August; we are staying at BWV for 10 nights :thumbsup2

Please keep us posted if you see or hear anything about the refurb. at BWV. Wouldn't it be awesome if your room was one of the new ones!

Enjoy your vacation :wizard:

Have a great trip! Keep us posted on the refurb for BW. I'm hoping they have it all done by the time we go in January.

We live in southern PA-- I can walk into MD. We left at 2 am and drove straight through with three gas/bathroom breaks. Leaving at 2 am got us through DC/VA area without traffic and it was nice driving "into" daylight!

I am going to try to post some pics. I have not in awhile-- so I hope it works out. I honestly have not taken many -- we are treating this trip different than other trips down. We are taking it easy, not rushing... because we know we will be back. That is a great feeling.

Today we went to DHS. We went for EMH and went straight to TSM-- 40 minute wait right away-- crazy huh. I am starting to think EMH are something to avoid??? I really like TSM- though!!! After about 4 hours there we were beat. We did get FP for TSM when we left which are for 6:30 tonight!!! We came back, hung at the pool. I am shocked how uncrowded the pools are. Now just showered and heading to Hollywood and Vine and Phantasmic for the dinner-show combo.

Having a blast!

WELCOME HOME and enjoy your trip. As you mentioned, you will now tend to take things more slowly and not rush through the parks commando style from morning till close to get every last drop out of a park hopper ticket. Those DVC annual passes are wonderful and really let you come and go as you please. I still don't know how to post pics so I can't help you out but I'm sure someone here will.

Well.. right now we are having one heck of a storm, but it is 6 am and I hope it stops in an hour-- plus hopefully it will mean cooler temps.

Last night we did Phantasmic. I liked the show. We did the dinner package so we had reserved seating. We still showed up extra early. Afterward we went back to TSM for our third time-- really like that ride (even though my husban kicks my butt).

We did go check out the models. Very nice rooms for Kidani and BLT. BLT is just not my thing though... does not give me the "homey" feel, but it is very nice.

As for the "refurb", they are painting the outside of the buidling behind the big slide at the pool. I saw a truck with big "wooden" chairs unloading a bunch?? As my husband sait it is nice to see our MF at work.

Today MK and then LeCellier for Dinner!

What time of day is this? Looks like there isn't a soul on the Boardwalk.

Also, how have the crowds been on the Boardwalk? Are there a lot of people walking around?

This was around 5 or 6 on Sunday. The evenings are pretty busy but not too crowded.
