We are going to the Fort for the first time in January. We are trying to find out what would be the best loop for us. We have a premium site reserved but we were told to call back at the end of this month to list a preference for a certain loop. With all of the changes we have been reading about I have no idea which loop to ask for. We have a 35' 5th Wheel and three kids. (13, 6, and 1) Any suggestions would be appreciated.

First things first,,,,,WELCOME !! I see this is your first post,,cool.
Second,,,can we go too?!?!?!?! Just kidding with you.(no I'm not)
Anyways,,you are right , theres changes going on at the Fort that Im not able to help you with,,but I am sure some good folks will be along shortly that can help you.

Welcome .:thumbsup2

I don't think any of the loops are bad. It depends on where you want to be. If you want on the main route, close to the settlement, or a little further removed. We have a pet and like the 500 loop. When we are there after Thanksgiving we are going to ride around and look at other loops to see if we want to stay anywhere else. Good luck!

Unfortunately, there is precious little info to convey at this point since only Loop 500 is complete (as far as Premium, that is). Other than looking at a map and deciding which loops best match your needs, there isn't much to share. Do you want to be close to buses, the pool, walking distance to the Marina? The only other thing I can think to suggest is that requesting an outside vs inside site might be best given the length of your rig, it'll be easier to back into. Any Premium site should be deep enough for you. Maybe TCD can suggest a 500 site that is particularly wide, since he has had boots-on-the-ground as the loop was being completed. But, as others will attest, it is better to request site features that meet your needs than to request a specific site. Hope it helps.

We'll be at the Fort for the first time as well in January. We've been to Disney before, but never stayed on Disney property. I'm glad we chose FW! All the posts get me excited to go! We'll be there Jan. 8th-15th tent camping. Maybe we'll see you there!

The 400 loop is currently under construction but should be ready by January. It is a very convenient location to the marina, arcade, playground and store. I think it would be a great loop for kids especially the age group you have! Just my op.:cool1:
