Does anyone have any hints on going to Universal during spring break. We will be there March 18 and 19? We bought the VIP passes. Any hints on must do's

Orlando school is out the next week March 25th, and Broward schools have their first day of Spring break on the 18th, so crowds should be ok. The good news about the Saturday you are going, is the parks stay open until 10pm. They usually open 15 minutes early for busy holidays, so arrive to the gate before 08:30am, and they might open at 08:45am. You can do the major rides at what park you choose in a matter of minutes, where you would normally wait hours. For example, I've done Hulk, Spiderman, and Dr. Doom in 15 minutes. Imagine doing that at 1pm after everyone shows up. Go back to your hotel room in the afternoon and rest, then come back that night. They might even have fireworks Saturday night at 09:50pm at IOA.

I am new to Universal and am looking for passes for 1 day though I would buy 2 day passes if they do not expire.....I have not heard of VIP passes. What are they and where do you buy them. We will be there on the 19th also as our High School band has a competition that day. :cool1:

The passes do expire as I understand it within 7 days. Check out the prices I know that we bought 2 day passes with one free day because it ended up being less expensive. The VIP passes are special tickets so that you can go to the front of the line on most all the rides. They were not cheap I think something like $35 for saturday we paid less for friday. We figured that it would be worth it since it is prime spring break and a saturday.

Is the band competition at the park?

The 2 day passes do not expire unless you buy the 2 day, get one free special. I always get the 2 day pass and save it for the following yr or longer.

I have a 2-day, 2-park pass from four years ago that still has a day on it (we now have AP's), and the second day is still valid. I'll probably give this ticket to my employee that is going with me next week if we can get out of our meetings early enough to make the parks worth it (maybe noon??).

Yes, I think there is a music festival for High Schools and our band competes at Universal in the morning and at Disney the next day......I know this music festival goes on at least until after Easter......it will be interesting :earsgirl:
