I'm so excited - I just booked a trip for August 6 - 10, staying at the Hard Rock. We love Universal and couldn't stay away - our last trip was in Feb. and I thought we wouldn't be back for a while, but my fabulous hubby just said yes!! I have to change my trip counter!

What is the best ticket option? It looks like they have the five days for $94 - are there any other discounts?

I can't wait to start reading the boards again

We'll be there a few days when you are. We're going to be at the Hard Rock on August 9-13. I can't help you with ticket info since this is our first time. I won our trip in a contest.

Good for you.
Since you went in Feb, you probably didn't visit the pool that much, but now you can and it will be warm.
August 6-10 is still the busy time, so the parks will be packed. Even though you have FOTL, you'll still have lots of people in the walkways. The good news, is that the parks will be open until 10pm Fri-Sat, 9pm Sun-Tue, so you can go to your room in the afternoon, rest, then go back at night. After your visit, the closing time is earlier as the kids go back to school.

I wanted to go the weekend of the 20th, but we are going back to school that week

We went last year at the same time and found the crowds fine with FOTL. The pool is packed though!!!

How strict are they being with limited FOTL? Is it just for the Mummy or for everything? The only thing we really re-ride is MIB and Spiderman.

Also, Ripsaw Falls will finally be open for my son to ride - it has been rehabbed every time we visited. He says he won't go on the Mummy, so we will see. He loves Hulk and the Disney coasters, I think it is just the Mummy aspect he doesn't like.

It's for Mummy, MIB, BTF, ET, Shrek, Spider-Man, Hulk, Ripsaw, JP River Adventure, and CITH. And after 3p you have unlimited rerides at those attractions.

Just an FYI on the tickets, MasterCard has a deal if you need 5 tickets you get one free and it comes out to $77 per person for 5 consecutive days. This is the deal I'm taking because I have a party of 11, and since I have the AP, 10 is the perfect no.!! Just wanted you to know about this since you can order them and pick them up at the Kiosk thing when you arrive. Have a wonderful trip. I'll be there 8/29 to 9/1 and FOTL restrictions will have been lifted! Woo Hoo!!

I don't get depressed because there is always a trip a few months away. For many, it will be for HHN.
After that, I look forward to visiting in February when the crowds are light.

mr. m. correct me if i am wrong but i read on another thread that the restriction on the fotl passes was for the month of july only.
has this changed, or is universal extending this new clause?

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if it appeared during peak periods...
