We are finally going back!!! September 2017 Pre-trip report *UpDateD 11/6*

hi!
I decided that to cement my husband okaying this trip by starting a pre-trip report!

So without further ado

The WHY?

To celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary and god willing my college graduation...but mainly the anniversary.

The WHO?!

Me- Lindsey
I'm the planner.
I love magic kingdom. Donald Duck and Splash mountain!
My favorite restaurant is Chef Mickey's.
This will be my 4th trip to WDW. Second with my love!

The hubby- Nathan.
The reluctant participant. Not hip on trip planning so willing to let me do most of the work while he ho hums and hem hem's about the cost.
He liked Animal Kingdom. He also like Jasmine and Space Mountain.
His favorite restaurant is Liberty Tree Tavern (he still talks about it to this day!)
This will be his second trip to WDW.


The WHEN?

September 6-12/13th 2017 (SO FAR AWAYYY!!)

I'm still figuring out where we are staying. I'm deciding between renting DVC points for the Animal kingdom Lodge. My other ideas are Pop Century, All-Star's (most likely Music) or A Little Mermaid room at Art of Animation. I'm leaning towards Pop or All-Stars. So instead of a long Monologue of the pro's and con's of each resort I thought i'd share the list of things we want to do on this trip. We figure that this will be a last vacation of sorts with just the two of us

Me:

• Do all 4 mountains in one day ( Splash, Space, Big Thunder and Everest)
• Do all 4 parks in one day
• At least one MNSSHP
• Eat around the world (i don't drink so i couldn't do the boozy version)
• Wishes Dessert Party

Nathan:

• Liberty Tree Tavern
• Pizzafari
• Via Napoli
• The "Tower Thing"
• Food and Wine festival

I'm happy that Nathan's taking an active approach to this trip xD. I'm sure we will add more to the list as the trip grows closer. That's all i have for now. I just wanted to post something because i'm determined to finish this PTR!

At this point we are waiting to book until March 1st. That gives us time to save, since i was as much money saved for the trip as possible so when we DO book. Part of the reason for this is so i know how much i have left to save but i'm hoping to have at least half



Another thing we decided was to only buy park tickets for 7 days and have one day (in the middle of the week) and go to a water park/relax day. I'm hoping for blizzard Beach, now Nathan isn't a huge fan of water but we've been looking at maps and watching videos of the park and he thinks he will be ok.

If Nathan wouldn't have been down for going. i was going to go solo (or drag a friend). I did solo for a day and a half last trip and it was so much fun. Being able to go at my pace and getting around crowds xD

Now our 180 day mark isn't until March...and i won't be booking until March 1st (i may or may not have a alarm set).
We(I) have started making a list and prodding Nathan on which restaurants we want to do.

I know we will be doing the DDP. I have done it on all three previous trip and it just works for me. I like knowing that i have all my meals already paid for (minus tip!). So since we will be staying 8 nights. We will get 8 sit down, 8 quick-service and 8 snacks.

My must do's resaturant style!

• Chef Mickey's
• Be our Guest!!!!
• Askhaurus
• Wolfgang Puck (i hear nothing but great things)
• Earl of Sandwich

Nathan Must do's restaurant style

• Via Napoli
• Liberty Tree Tavern

I want to do one day of rest either towards the middle or end of our week where we eat at Disney Springs (and bring Sandwiches for our return trip).


I've also been working on mock ups of our days. I'm obsessed what can i say? So I've been thinking

• 3 Magic Kingdom days. This does not include MNSSHP on which i am planning at least one. Also, we will probably finish our days at MK.
• 2 Epcot days. This gives us time to enjoy the rides and food.
• 2 Animal Kingdom days. I know that this is a lot of peoples one day park but its my second favorite and it was Nathan's favorite.
• .5 Hollywood Studio day. This could get bumped up depending on how Star Wars land come together. Right now we would just do HTH, RNRC, Toy Story, Olaf M&G (i'll post more on this later) and Kylo Ren M&G.
• 1 day at a water park preferably Blizzard Beach. This might also change depending on finances and if we decide that we'd rather just do Disney Springs and relax relax.

Thats all i have for now I just wish it was closerrrr

So some updates since i last posted. My husband has decided that he does not want to go to Disney next year
I however am determined to go. So everyone reading meet Lainey! My Disney buddy! We went together last in 2013.

On the person change, I've also changed basically everything. That included dates and resort.

The new dates are October 30-November 6. We will most likely only be doing 1 MNSSHP and 1 MVmCP (if they start by the time we leave).
