We are down to two photographers!!

So, we have been debating for a week or so about who we should go with for photography!! My DF and I love pictures so this is an extremely important aspect of our wedding! (which aslo makes it one of the most stressful, so far, LOL!!)

We are thinking between Christopher Patrick Photography and Rhett Pyle. I love both of their styles. I love the photojournalism of Christopher Patrick Photography more, though, and that is the style we are really looking for. Ahh, I need help!!

Does anyone have any suggestions for my DF and I who are stuck!!?!

personally- I think you should check out Randy Chapman... I would have to say IMO he is one of the best in his profession...

Thanks Maggimus! Your pictures by Randy were fantastic and one of the reasons we looked into him! Believe me, we definitely considered him. I think for us, though, the two photographers we are seriously considering are more "us" if that makes sense!! LOL! We are a very artistic couple so I love the way Rhett Pyle and Christopher Patrick seem to capture every moment in an artistic light! lol, I hope that makes sense! ahh, the decisions!!

I am not sure if you live in floriddca ar not, but i actually went to his house which is also a studio. WOW beautiful stuff even more amazing in person then on the website. He is sosos nice and his wife is also. He went through all the cameras he would use and all the photo shops. His work to me was the best i had seen. I know everyone love randy but i really just felt that his work was above and beyond the creaticity of the others. Randy was my seconf thouh and he does have great packages. Cant wait to see who you pick

Thank you!! I love rhetts pictures, they are great! Im glad you had a good experience with him! I won't have the opportunity to visit each photographer before the wedding (I wish I could, but we cna't make it down). I have talked to both and both are great and so nice! Christopher Patrick sent out an information package the day I requested one and has been prompt with emails and phone calls the entire time. The info packet was great! I haven't had the chance to talk to Rhett as much, but im sure he would be just as professional. lol, can you tell I am completely stuck? My DF and I are going to have to make a decison soon, probably by the end of the week (before they each book!!)

I know everyone loves Randy but we wanted to go with someone different. Someone with a slightly different style of photography!! I dont know how to explain that!

It also looks like Christopher Patrick offers DFTW discounts, which is a ++ i dont know about Rhett, hmmm!!

Any other opinions??

i did the same thing and i understrand wanting a diffrent view for your wedding. I am not cookie cutter and i dont want cookie cutter pictures. I totally understand. It will come to you like while you are sleeping and you will be like he is the photographer. That is what happen to me

We are leaning towards using Disney, however, in one of my obsessive "where am I getting all this money from" moments I did look into other photographers and love Christopher Patrick's work. Now we are seriously considering using him instead of Disney, so I totally vote for him.

I also loved the photojournalism style. Christopher Patrick's work on the website is just stunning. We used Disney Photo, but got lucky and Damon Tucci did our photos. He's now doing his own thing. I love that the photos are views of a moment. Those are the really special things in a wedding and that style captures them. The emotion in them speaks to me.

Rhett Pyle's work is nice, but seems more traditional and staged to me. While lovely, that just would not have been us.

Thank you so much for the advice!! It helped a lot! It's been a crazy around here, but we are soo excited because we just sent in our contract for Christopher Patrick Photography!! He has been fantastic and I just can't get over his work!

Dannirose - I know what you mean. We were considering Disney at the time we thought of a Disney wedding, but I think going with an outside vendor is better for us! We can't wait, because he has been awesome!

ahutton - That was a stroke of good luck!! I was looking at Damon Tucci and I adore his work as well!!!

sunsh1ne - That sounds exactly what we were thinking. We didn't want the same shots everyone else had! We wanted something that captured us as us! lol, if that makes sense
