Hi we are back from a fantatic trip. We stayed at the Hotel New York from 20.Jan - 23.Jan. We had the greatest room ever. 7th floor with a perfect view to NPBC, SL, Cafe Mickey, Disney Village, TOT and WDS.
But I can not sign what Rosie said about the park. On Saturday and Sunday there were huuuuuuge growds! I never saw the Studios so crowded!!! Waiting time for BTM 60min. With FP 20min! Indiana Jones at 7:30pm (!!!!!) 35min!!!!! Studio Tram Tour 45min. Peter Pan 60min with FP 20min! So even in low season you have to avoid the weekends. On Friday and Monday the park was almost empty. The Hotel New York was empty for the whole time. The most visitors on Saturday and Sunday were one-day-guest! In the morning hours almost all pay-offices were open to handle the huge growds.

But the weather was realy great. Only a little rain on Friday. And on the other 3 days we had a lot of sun.

Pictures and a trippie will follow soon. :surfweb:

Marcus great to hear that you had a lovely time, thanks for checking in :goodvibes

Looking forward to trippie and phots when you have caught your breath ;)

Welcome Home!!!!! It sounds like you had a great trip- and the view from your room sounds brilliant princess:

Glad you had a great trip Marcus. Apart from the fantastic view, did you like the Hotel New York itself?!

I can't believe how different the crowds are at the weekends!!!

Yes I liked the hotel New York. But now that I have stayed in all Disney hotels at least once I can say that the hotel New York is not my favourite!
Number one is and will always be the Disneyland Hotel
Number two is Newport Bay Club
Number three and four is Sequoia Lodge and Hotel New York
Number 5 and 6 is Cheyenne and Santa Fee

One advantage of the Hotel New York is: There are not that much children, and the children who are there are very behaved!

Here is a picture of the view from our room! Ain't that beautiful? When I sat in my bed, I could see the lake and Sequoia Lodge. GREAT! :wizard:

Hi Markus

Yeah - you're correct that the crowds were substantially bigger on the Saturday and Sunday.:teeth:

I made very good use of Fastpass, went to Shows, did the walk through attractions, ate at Blue Lagoon and so the crowds didn't bother us really. It wasn't crowded like at School Holiday times:crazy: !

I suppose crowds move from one area to another as well, so perhaps I just wasn't in the crowded areas at peak times.

The view from your room is stunning! One thing I am disappointed that I didn't do is pop in to one of the Hotels I wasn't staying at to have a look around - something to do next visit!;)

Wow Marcus - what a fantastic view!!!

Glad you had such a great time, can't wait to hear more about it! :goodvibes
