Hi all

We just got back and were down there Feb 14th-21st. We stayed on-site at the Boardwalk (LOVED it!!) and had the FP+ magic bands and they worked wonderful for us!! A little restrictive for my taste and I didn't like the tier system but we got on the major rides that we had FP'ed within minutes!! From what I witnessed, if you stayed on property and had a smartphone, the FP+ system worked great.

I did spot the multiple FP kiosks and there was always a long line for them so that is a downfall for off-site guests and those without magic bands.

The one difference I would do is consider next time not paying for the park hopper, because the passes were spaced out - we never had time to switch parks and lost money on that feature.

I even changed the time of one fast pass as I was walking to the attraction and it worked seamlessly.

I wish with Epcot they change their tier system because we never did get to ride Soaring since Test Track was the priority and we never even used the other 2 passes that day since no one in my party was interested in the other choices (captain EO - really??).

This is certainly one of those FP+ negatives that I'm hoping is ironed out by October. At least give us the option to use the other 2 in another park if we choose to hop!

Glad to hear everything else worked well!

You can actually adjust the times to suit you such as have them in the evening at one park and go to a different park in the morning

Thanks for the report

Glad you had a good trip! I totally agree with you about Epcot, they really need to do something with this. I was annoyed that we never got to ride Test Track on our Epcot day since we used our fast pass for Soarin. Would be nice if they'd let you trade in the two useless non headliner fast passes for one headliner fast pass!!!!

Thank you for sharing this positive(?) feedback.

Glad you had a great trip! We also had another great FP+ experience last week, however we did park hop lots, and were able to ride Soarin', Test Track, and Mission Space. Hope your trip made lots of GREAT memories!!!

Was the standby too long to wait for soarin?

Good to see some positive feedback!

With Epcot I think it is a better use to FP Soarin' then just do Standby for TT. Plus with TT Standby you have more options to design your car...

Glad you had a good experience! We were just there last week and we had a great experience with FP+ as well - able to switch FP+ on the fly, make reservations for headliners with little notice, etc. We rode both Soarin' and TT. Our strategy was to hit one of them at rope drop (rode Soarin' with a 5 minute standby time) and use our FP+ for the other. Worked well for us!

How is this a positive report? The only positive thing I saw was IF you stayed onsite and IF you have a smartphone they system itself worked (because she could change one fastpass while walking), but it doesn't sound like they actually enjoyed only being allowed three sometimes tiered fastpasses in one park per day!

There was one positive sentence in there. ;)

I read the post as saying she liked FPP overall, other than the tiers in Epcot. So overall a positive experience for her. I assume they went to all of the parks.

LOL No offense op, but I have to agree. I guess if someone has never been before and doesn't have anything to compare it to, this would describe a good trip. ;)

Same as I was thinking. If THIS is a positive trip to WDW now, things are worse than I thought.
