We are back, great time and all unwell

We arrived back at 12.30am this morning. We all had a great time, weather was fantastic as was DLP. But we are all unwell. Think the kids may have food poisioning, they have all been sick after eating the same food. the previous night. The adults all have the flu.

Won't stop me looking at going back next year. really enjoyed staying at a hotel onsite for a change. Might need to try another hotel next year.

I will get my trip reports up when I have caught up with washing and the kids are feeling well.

Just out of interest where did you eat - I read about another case of food poisoning on another forum, just wondering if there's anywhere to particularly avoid.

We ate at Cafe Mickey on Wednesday night and the kids all had chicken nuggets and chips. All 4 of them have had sickness and diorhea(sp). That was the only thing they all ate that they had in common. Not saying for sure it was Cafe Mickey, just a bit coincidental. They couldn't eat breakfast as they were feeling unwell.

The symptoms of food poisoning can develop rapidly, within 30 minutes, or slowly, worsening over days to weeks. So it could be a bug or something else.
Hopefully everyone will feel better soon

We were at Rainforest Cafe on Wednesday night and my DH was so ill the next day (both ends!) but the rest of us were fine.

We ate at Cafe Mickey on Thursday night (DH just had soup) and we were all fine so I think it could just be a bug going around.

DH is okay now though but it took a couple of days for him to get back on his feet and we had to drive back from Paris to Dundee (plenty of carrier bags to hand)!!

we spoke to couple of families on saturday who said they had had sickness that morning and the night before so i guess there must have been a bug going about-luckily we were all ok apart from my ds(5) who on sunday developed the rash from slapped cheek which at least expains his reluctance to really join in all week!

I tend to think it's more likely to be a bug, last year we all succombed to sickness as did other groups there at the same time, I think it's probably inevitable given the sheer number of people there but we're going to avoid drinking the water this time, just in case.
