Our 6/29 to 7/6 Wonder Alaska Cruise is over. Boo Hoo. Had a great time. Got a bit wet in Scagway but enjoyed it nonetheless. Juneau was mostly overcast but it didn't rain on us at all. The last 2 days (Ketchikan and at sea) were fantastic! Sunny, not a cloud in the sky and temps near 80! The town stop (Ketchikan) was on the 4th of July... they had parades, celebrations and lots of hustle and bustle. Loved it. Not only is Alaska beautiful, so is British Columbia. Vancouver must be seen. We will do it again.
On a side note, Jared and Brandi from the "reality" show Storage Wars were on board with their 2 kids. I was hoping that they weren't pestered by anyone else who may have recognized them. I just nodded in passing as they were on a Disney vacation.

We were on this one as well. I'm still so sad that it's over but I'm glad to not be sharing a room the size of a shoe box with my family.

We wondered how many people recognized them. I ran into Jared a bunch of times, only once with his kids, but we only saw the whole family 1 time when we got of the ship in Ketchikan. I always just smiled and gave a quick nod of acknowledgement. I asked a CM about them when I saw him in a Diversions and he said they seemed to be having fun based on their conversations and weren't being bothered.

The weather was great! Not too cold, not too hot. A little bit of everything except for snow. We had a blast and it sounds like you guys did too.

What were temperatures like on the ship? On days that were on the cool side, could you wear shorts and sleeveless tops on board? Was it chilly at night?

Some days were shorts and T-shirts, others were jeans and a long sleeve shirt. Rainproof light jacket is good to have along. Heavy coat was never needed. Temp ranges seemed to be 60-near 80. Some people felt chilled while in the wind especially while glacier side. If you come from a colder part of the country you'll be fine. We are from PA where we had a nasty cold winter and felt quite comfortable every day (even while soaked in Scagway). Results may vary. Enjoy!

True. I wore jeans on the Skagway day (when it rained) but shorts on the Tracy Arm day and I think every day after that. Not to say it wasn't cold Tracy Arm day but I was fairly certain I was sick of jeans and wanted to be in shorts while I touched the piece of glacier they brought on deck. The wind was the biggest problem anytime it was cold. There are plenty of blankets on deck for times when you get cold. In fact my 4 year old never wore pants, he was in shorts only the whole cruise. Even on deck eating, he just sat under a blanket when doing so.

Plan for 60-80 degrees and you'll do just fine. Also pack a light wind breaker. We had 3-1 jackets and never wore the jackets with the liners. Actually we never even used the liners only the outer shells.
