We arrived at HoJos yesterday and we are VERY pleased  We are staying in building 1 with a view of The Matterhorn. So far we have not had any traffic noise from the freeway bother us at all, and the beds are BEYOND COMFORTABLE. :thumbsup2

We are on an afternoon break right now and will be heading back to the parks later.

So far:

1. Love the garden pool area and Castaway Cove.
2. Love our room and want to take the bed home with me (perfect for my hurting back).
3. Check-in was perfect and our room was ready early for us.
4. Parks are busy but by getting there early at opening and collecting fast passes we are able to enjoy everything at out own pace. We rode Space 4 times yesterday, Indiana 3 times, Big Thunder 4 times, Matterhorn twice, Buzz, Star Tours, Snow White, Pinocchio, Toad, Haunted Mansion 2 times, and Pirates. We also watched the Fireworks right in front of the castle (even though we waited until the last minute to find a spot.
5. We had our first celebrity sighting today in CA. We saw a plaid with Harry Hamlin, his wife Lisa Rinna, and their two daughters. My daughter and husband were on California Screamin' with them. We saw them again later in Disneyland.

I will come back later with more updates.

Woo Hoo! :woohoo: Sounds like you are having a fabulous time! It's always fun to get updates directly from the park, except it makes me want to be there really badly!

Glad everything is going so well! Enjoy the rest of your trip.:thumbsup2

wow, sounds like you got a lot in yesterday. Love to hear reports of the wonderfulness of Hojo, we will be staying there for the first time next month.
Keep posting, and keep us updated.
Enjoy your trip.

I could have written this post- we were at HoJo until yesterday in building 1, and we also saw Lisa Rinna!

We had no issue getting on rides and had a great seat for fireworks, too! Glad to hear others had a great time on a busy weekend!

We're here too. Staying in Building 1 with a view of SM and the Matterhorn. See ya around. :)

Thanks a million for the live report! Sounds like your having a wonderful time. I am looking really forward to reading part 2.

Fantastic - sounds like your having a great time. :cool1: Thanks for the news about Hojos; we are staying there in May and it is always good to hear what people have to say.

I posted on another thread but thought I would ask here too.....

I would love it if someone at the parks this week could snap a picture of the Mickey Birthday ears that are for sale. I am dying to see what they look like!:goodvibes

Thanks!

I have my disboards LGMH on my purse and I have been on the lookout for others. We stood in line on Indy behind another Diser from Puyallup (JanC...I think). She was here with the Puyallup HS Band.

We had a wonderful more relaxed day today in Disneyland. We spent the morning collecting some fast passes to use tonight and we went on Indy, Splash, Pirates, Haunted Mansion and Pooh. We were able to see the remants of the Country Bear Jamboree in the Pooh ride. We also went on Roger Rabbit, walked through Sleeping Beauty's Castle and went on the Matterhorn. Oh...we went into the Golden Horseshoe thinking we were going to see Billy Hill and the Hillbillies but it was the Laughing Stock...We really enjoyed them...very funny.:rotfl2:

We also went into Downtown Disney via the monorail to walk around...It was so relaxing in Downtown Disney with the music playing and not too many people. We then went to White Water Snacks (in the Grand Californian-byt he pool area) to eat lunch. We love this spot as a quiet spot for a meal.

The weather today was gorgeous! We ended our afternoon watching the new Celebrate Parade. We liked it. It is one to get the little kids dancing. :) We were surprised to see a HS band from Hoquiam, WA (just down the road from our town of Montesano, WA) marching in the parade before the main pared began. We even saw a cousin of a good friend of ours playing the trombone :)

We are heading to dinner at LeBrea Bakery and then back to Disneyland to close it down tonight. I spen some time at the garden pool this afternoon but I kept falling asleep so I am now back up in the room.

Only frustration of the trip so far is that Indy has broken down a few times...other than that...FANTASTIC :yay:

Miss Kitty..........
I finally figured out how to post a pic. Here is a pic of me and DH and I am wearing the Birthday ears. It's not a close-up, so if you want me to take one of the ears as a close up, just let me know.
