Four members of our party may no longer be coming to WDW. Is it possible to adjust our ADRs from 9 to 5 without much of a problem? Do we have to start over from scratch, or can we simply call WDW Dining and ask that the number of our party be adjusted?

Unless you used group dining I don't think you have any worries. You should be able to keep your existing ADRs.

I've never tried revising down that many people before, so please let me know how it turns out. (407-WDW-DINE )

I would make 2 ressies (9 and 4) and cancel the one you do not need once you know.

I did get online last night to check availability for a party of 5. There were fairly good times still available at most restaurants. There were only 2 (of 13) showing no availability. I am afraid to make a second ADR for the smaller party because I have heard some reports that Disney will cancel double bookings.

I just wanted to post an update...

After learning that we will definitely be a party of 5 on our upcoming trip, I called WDW dining to update our ADRs. I am thrilled to report that I was able to change all of our reservations from 9 to 5 with no problem. :cool1:

You can reduce the number of persons on a reservation. You just may not be able to ADD people without cancelling and rebooking.
