We always eat at the same places! Do you?

This will be our fourth trip, all during free dining. We try new things for all but one TS meal each trip.
This year we're trying:
Tutto, Biergarten,The Wave, Hoop de Doo, and 50's PT.
Our only repeat this trip will be Tepan Edo.
Our past trip TS favorites that I would love to do again:
Boma dinner and breakfast, Mama Melrose dinner, Le Cellier, Chef's de France, Liberty Tree Tavern lunch and dinner, Ohana dinner, Kona dinner, and WCC dinner
Past trip TS places we probably won't return to:
Artist Point (good but didn't seem worth 2 credits), Coral Reef (snotty waitstaff), Chef Mickey's breakfast (great character interaction, blah food)
Would love to try on future trips:
San Angel Inn, Rose & Crown, Tokyo Dining, Marrakesh, Beaches & Cream, Jiko, Tusker House, Via napolli, SciFi, Wolf Gang Pucks, House of Blues, Cape May's, Crystal Palace, Kona breakfast, 1900 Park Fare, Cali Grill, and Yak & Yeti.
Our list of places we'd like to try keeps getting longer!

We try to work in at least 1 new meal on each trip, but that is not always possible on the shorter trips. The ones we almost always visit are ESPN, Kona Cafe, Mama Melrose, 1 character brekafast, and Yak & Yeti. Casey's Corner is a must do for the kids too.

yes, but we always try a couple new places. We use the DxDP so that makes it easier to try more!

We are definitely creatures of habit when it comes to WDW restaurants. We know what we like! I always want to try new places but it never works out since there are certain meals that I must have!! I need to branch out, lol.

For our upcoming trip - Ohana, Chef Mickey's, Coral Reef, Crystal Palace, Cape May Cafe, Donalds Safari Breakfast are all repeats for us and favorites!

Akshershus, Sci-Fi, and Tony's Town Square are new to us.

We did not book Tutto Italia(my sis who is coming is not an Italian food fan and we decided to try Tonys), and Whispering Canyon Cafe(didnt care for the service last year).

ok its my rule and we just started it last year, is no more than 2 trips in a row to the same restaurant. The year our repeat is The Wave. We also have MMFP and Coral Reef but its been a couple of years since we've done those. New is Boma, Chefs de France, Biergarten and Kona Breakfast.

We do have our must do places, but try to mix it up a little. This trip we are trying
1900 and 50's PT for the first time. We also have Le Cellier (a fav) CM, and
Akershus. Free dining, but also have Bona breakfast OOP. CM why? for
Mickey, not the food. Lol

No. We've eaten at all but about 5 of the TS restaurants on property. I like some more than others but the only one I think is so exceptional that I hate to miss is V&A.

I am making ADRs and find myself going back to our favorite places - Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, Garden Grill. And I have never even tried some nifty ones like 50s Prime Time, Boma, Hoop De Doo, Ohana's, the Plaza, Sci-Fi. Its so hard to fit it all in! I did *finally* get reservations at CRT because you have to eat at the castle just once. First time I have gotten in there in six trips! And I am branching out with a Coral Reef reservation.

And I still didn't make ressies at some of my favs like 1900 Park Fare, Akershus, Whispering Canyon. We're only there for a week!

Do you do the same thing?

we used to go to a favorite or two every other trip or so...but that got tedious and kinda boring....especially when disney has shifted the overall quality of the food and variety downward in recent years...thanks to the stupid dining plan and excessive accountant input:teacher:

But now we go on a rough 5 year cycle or so...

at one time we had been to every table service except akershus...but they have changed/ added enough spots in the last few years to have a few newbies left for us.
i'm actually pretty excited for the two new mixed use locations in EPCOT. you can never have enough food in the world showcase...and being that these two spots are a massive expansion and a complete addition...it will allow for more seats and hopefully a slight easement of the demand for some of the stalwarts...

now if they'd only close nine dragons and replace it with....well...anything:eek:...then we'd be in business

but back to the original point - i don't think i would want to go "everytime" to certain spots....especially not now. the restaurants seem alot more hit or miss when it comes to the food and menus...and the service has been damaged beyond repair by the dining plan and the change to the reservation systems. bad experiences are much more likely to spoil a "favorite" than used to be the case.

i like to replace favorite meals with favorite things now...dolewhips are a must...imperial white rose nectar from the stand in france...the peach oolong tea slushie from china...garlic mashed potatoes from puck's express...and such.

Yes, we do go back to the same places. And Yes, we do try different places as well. ;)

We love to try new places and we have a few favorites that we go back to regularly. We try to mix it up in a trip so that we have some of each.:surfweb:

This. :thumbsup2

We are doing 50/50 this time. 9 new places and 9 that we've done before. All of the ones that we are doing again were great meals last trip for various reasons and it was just impossible for me to pass them up for our upcoming trip.

DH and i were just talking about this topic this morning. we always do the DDP, so we just keep eating at the same restaurants that give you the most bang for your buck. i told him i wanted to pay OOP during our next trip because there are so many places i want to try that aren't on the DDP or aren't a good use of TS credits.

that being said, we usually do a character breakfast OOP since it's not a great use of TS credits, and we usually do a new one every trip. next month we are going to crystal palace. i hope we like it as much as we have enjoyed donald's breakfastaurus, tusker house, 1900 park fare and chef mickeys.

We're not big on TS meals. With a 5 yr old I just don't see the need to spend more per meal right now. But we do have 5 ressies for our upcoming week trip. Two of the spots are new, Coral Reef and Whispering Canyon, and three we have done before, T Rex, Cape May bfast, and Sci Fi.

We're guilty!! Occasionally, we'll try a new place, but usually it's the same trusted places that deliver good food and service :).

Funny you should ask -- we're going in Dec, and we're eating at 4 places we've never tried... Chefs, Yachtsman, Tokyo Dining, and Liberty Tree Tavern. We'll eat at two we love, tho' -- WCC and HBD (doin' the Fantasmic Dinner Package).
