I am making ADRs and find myself going back to our favorite places - Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, Garden Grill. And I have never even tried some nifty ones like 50s Prime Time, Boma, Hoop De Doo, Ohana's, the Plaza, Sci-Fi. Its so hard to fit it all in! I did *finally* get reservations at CRT because you have to eat at the castle just once. First time I have gotten in there in six trips! And I am branching out with a Coral Reef reservation.

And I still didn't make ressies at some of my favs like 1900 Park Fare, Akershus, Whispering Canyon. We're only there for a week!

Do you do the same thing?

Yes, but we still like to try a new restaurant every trip. This time it was Sanaa at Kidani Village and it was fabulous! Always fun to try something new...:goodvibes

I always do PTC and Biergarten and either R&C or Le Cel and usually try to eat some place new. However, this will be my first trip with a kid and went a bit more familiar.

We should vow to eat at nothing but new places this trip! But dh *has* to have his CP, and we need to eat somewhere that we can see Mickey...and...then I end up at the same places! lol

This year we are doing several new places and I am looking forward to it. We still kept our traditional 2 reservations for CP, but otherwise I think the others are all new.

Good for you for branching out!

Just saw someone post for Liberty Tavern. Makes me want to try there! Wish it was still a character meal.

Yes, we do go back to the same places. And Yes, we do try different places as well. ;)

We love to try new places and we have a few favorites that we go back to regularly. We try to mix it up in a trip so that we have some of each.:surfweb:

Same problem here!

Gotta eat at LeCellier, Ohana, Coral Reef & CP before the park opens.!

Wanna eat at Via Napoli, Fulton Crab House at lunch & Kona breakfast.

Can't make myself give up any old favorites so I'm trying to decide which to try extra this time OOP.

Rough life we live...isn't it???
:lmao:

There are some we do every trip (Crystal Palace for breakfast, Le Cellier for dinner).

There are some we do every other year or so (Liberty Tree Tavern).

We also like to try at least one new place every trip.

Problem is that some of those new places (Kona for breakfast, Biergarten for dinner) have now replaced old favorites (Prime Time Cafe, Chef Mickey's).

This year we are doing a mix of old standards, new favorites and a place or two we've never been.

Nope, we don't go back much...maybe one repeat per trip. We are working our way through all 50+ Disney restaurants (have been to over 30 so far.)

So we may repeat one place each trip...often we're going with someone else, and sometimes I'll book a place hubby & I have been to if I know it will be a big hit with our guest. Like in May, DS was with us & he loves Asian/Polynesian foods so we went to Kona. And I was right, he loved it.

But otherwise, we're either trying all new places, or we're trying a different meal at the same place (again, on May trip...we'd been to CP dinner buffet before, but we tried CP breakfast that trip.)

We have some that we do every trip -- Crystal Palace (breakfast), Boma (breakfast -- this is our second time but I think it will be "every trip), and The Plaza. We used to do LeCellier every trip, but we've not been to Biergarten in about six years so we decided to go back there this year (we're only there for four days). Last year, we gave up Mama Melrose and went back to Sci Fi for the first time in twelve years. This year, we are trying Kona for breakfast for the first time, as well as Earl of Sandwich. We have three restaurants we won't return to that we gave a try to over the last couple of years (WCC, Boatwright's & Hollywood & Vine). There are still a few we still want to try and hope to do over the next couple of years -- Chefs De France, Tutto and Ohana. But we'll still have our three must do's.

Yes, we tend to eat at the same ones but that's because we love them!! We always do 'Ohana, LeCellier, Cape May Cafe, Hoop-Dee-Doo, 50's Prime Time and the Crystal Palace breakfast. We used to do Chef Mickey's for our fist night dinner every trip but the food has gotten so bad we haven't eaten there the past two trips.
We are going to do Chef Mickey's for breakfast, 'Ohana for breakfast, Liberty Tree and Trails End dinner all for the first time next trip so guess we are somewhat branching out!! :thumbsup2

Not only do we tend to eat at the same restaurants every year (we do try to throw in at least one or two new ones, sometimes it doesn't work out), but I'm really bad about ordering the same dish everytime. I only get to go once a year and I spend all year thinking about things like LeCellier's cheddar cheese soup and pretzel bread or Earl of Sandwich's Original (OK, confession time, I usually get several of these during the duration of our stay) or the taco salad at Pecos Bill's. Sad, but true.

Im in the same boat. I tried 1/2 new places (ressies....havent been yet) for our upcoming trip, but as the time is getting closer to actually going, Im now thinking Ill miss my old favorites. Someone posted on my thread asking which I would regret more, not going to old places or not trying something new, and honestly, I think its the not going somewhere new. Ill have to dream of my California Grill and look forward to Grand Floridian Cafe!!

Same here. Same main course and same dessert! I look forward to them so much! Love that pasta at CP. Bread pudding at Cape May's. Yum. So hungry just thinking about it all!

We try to do half and half. This trip isn't half though. We have decided to do QSDP so we are only doing a few TS meals. We ALWAYS do CM breakfast on our departure day. We have done it every trip and always will. The family loves WCC and we have made that our first night tradition for several trips, but this year we are dropping CM for Thanksgiving dinner and doing WCC that night instead. I have a LeCellier ARD cause we really enjoy it but I think we may cancel it, can't justify the cost, maybe. We will see. And our only new ADR is one of the only we have not done that is a character meal and I want to do it while the kids are still interested and that is 1900PF for dinner. Last trip it was exactly half and half.

I have just made the ADRs for our second trip with the kids - I don't count the trips from 16+ years ago. Originally I had about 3 or 4 new ones and the rest repeats but I've changed that to just three repeats - 'Ohana dinner, Tusker breakfast and T-Rex lunch. Everything else is new (or new in this decade) to us.

We're trying HDDR, Tony's Town Square, Coral Reef, Les Chefs, Yak and Yeti, Jiko, 50's PTC and Cali Grill. Off property we're going to try Bubba Gump on our Universal/Harry Potter day.

We had booked and gave up WCC  , Tutto Italia, Garden Grill and 1900 Park Fare.

We have our favorite spots but do try to add new ones on each trip. Some places that were once favs have now slipped in quality and service so we'll drop those and add in new places. On our next trip in December we are going to try Chefs de France, Tusker House, Fulton's and 1900 Park Fare (we've only been for breakfast). We've also got our old standbys planned too! Can't wait!!

We have a few "must do" favorites we hit every trip, but we also check out an equal amount of new places as well.
