I know that I said that tomorrow is the real test of how well these new servers will hold up under the strain, but regardless of that I need to pay special thanks to Alex for the work he did in getting these servers on line.

He did it himself (I did absolutely nothing other than signing the papers authorizing the expense). He toiled over selecting the right equipment, transfering the software, rebuilding the database, and that's just what he did this weekend. Alex works very hard to keep many aspects of the site running. Fighting battles with AOL over email, fixing errors that no one else can figure out, and beyond that, being a really good friend to me. We all take shots at Alex out of fun, but the truth is, he is a great guy, and I'm lucky to have him on board. I just wanted to make sure you all knew just how hard he works on this stuff, and without him, the boards we love so much would be a far less pleasant experience.
