Barcelona looks gorgeous and the food...So nice of you to let us live vicariously!
What a nice tour of Barcelona.
Looks like you saw a little bit of everything.
OK, I'm here now. Better late than never. You haven't even boarded the ship yet!
What a way to start a vacation with a fender bender! I have never been to Spain, so it's neat to see your pictures and hear about the city. The apartment is great! So spacious!
I'm thoroughly enjoying this tour with you...beautiful pictures.
OMG...Just started reading...very excited!!!
More yumminess!! Oh Karin, I am loving the pics, the architecture is just gorgeous!
Beautiful pictures of Barcelona.
What a beautiful city!
My boss absolutely loves Barcelona and has talked about some of the places that you saw. He's not much of a picture taker so I haven't seen the sites, just heard of them. Now, I can tell him that I've seen them in your pictures!
Bumping the car ii front of you is not a good start.
The room is very nice.
My SIL is very nervous of the pickpocketers in Italy.
The city looks so pretty.
MMM, the tapas looked good.
The city looks so pretty.
Strange but funny they said they forgot your apps.
Great pics.
All caught up.
Mmm look at that yummy food! I've never seen round calamari like that. It looks like onion rings. And the shrimp looks soooo delicious.
Yes, it did look pretty big and I was not sure if she had brought out the right thing, but once we tasted it, it was really good.
Loved the shrimp, loads of yummy butter and garlic.
Too bad about the Starbucks cake, it really does look good.
Barcelona looks like such a beautiful city.
I totally forgot how late everyone eats over there! That would be difficult for us I think. We eat so early for every meal it seems, we already act like senior citizens![]()

Hi Karin
I nearly missed this one
Just stopping by to say hello and now I am off to read![]()
I've finally caught up Karin
Great photos of Barcelona. it's been many years since we visited and now I want to go back![]()
Great start! It was nice you didn't have to deal with jet lag on this trip - just a little "got up early."
Too bad your driver got in an accident. I'm glad it wasn't worse. Poor guy, he was probably thinking, "there goes my tip."Maybe the car services spread the rumors themselves that it is hard to get a taxi
It was wonderful to arrive and not have another time zone to deal with.
I don't think it is the car services that spread the rumors, it was definitely Mr. Facebook. I should have checked more into it, but since this was Europe, I never really did much research. I am sure private transfers are great, especially when there are more people, but it was just a waste of money for the two of us.
Nice apartment to start your trip out!
Beautiful pics of the city! I was thinking your last restaurant looked kind of medieval, then realized it probably was at one time - but then the floor was new - so cool.![]()
Oh my goodness I am so late to this report but in my defence I was on vacation![]()
I am here!!!
Cynthia!
What an adventure already. How fortuitous that the accident happened in front of your destination! I was in a cab once that did that but it was quite a ways away from my destination and made me rather late
We definitely started out with a BANG!But fortunately no one was hurt (apart from the driver's pride, I think).
Love love all the Barcelona pictures, I can only imagine the difficulty in finding food at the off hours, I remember it well. I would love to get back there again one if these days.
I am glad you like the photos and that they seem to bring back good memories!
I should have remembered that those countries just don't eat at "our" regular hours, but as I mentioned before I had never given this trip too much thought. My bad.
Tapas are so fun, I actually dined at a Tapas place just this week while on my work trip in San Diego, sadly their tortilla was not the one if my memory (or my own kitchen) but the rest was quite lovely!
All caught up again! Some more great pictures, but don't you just hate when they mess up the view with having cranes everywhere........![]()
I, like I think you wrote, am currently planning our 2016 vacation and a Disney Med cruise would be at the top of my list (but I haven't looked at prices yet - that may shorten my list a bit!), so I'm so happy I found your TR. I love the details and the pictures, and I can't believe how large your hotel suite is...I'll have to put this in my notes - "aparthotel" - correct? That would be perfect for our family of 4. And I'll note that we can order a selection of tapas for lunch and dinner.
Thanks for recording all of this - keep posting please!!!
Linda
We're back from our Dream B2B! We had a great time! It was Disney cruising at it's best. I'm just now getting here to catch up with your TR.
I cannot believe you are back already!!!!!!!
I am so glad you had a fun time and enjoyed your b2b cruise!
Barcelona really does look beautiful. I know we would both enjoy the HOHO tour that you took. Can't wait to read the rest of your TR.
Hi Karin!
Still loving the tour of the city.
I remember the difficulty of finding a place to eat at an early hour in Madrid from years ago - they eat SO LATE there!Your meal looks great though!
